I've been in the personal computer and software industry for over 25 years, as a software engineer and a manager of software engineers since 1979.

In 1983 I joined Microsoft and spent the next 18 years in a wide variety of groups working on a wide variety of software. I've shipped a lot of software and managed a lot of engineers. I'm one of those weird people that plays with computers because I really, really enjoy it. It's my career and my hobby. So even after leaving Microsoft I've kept it up. Lately I've been doing a lot of work implementing and maintaining websites on both Windows and Linux, writing some very interesting server-side applications in perl and PHP frequently using database technologies such as mySql, and writing all sorts of other odds and ends.

Well I am like everyone else on here and I really did this. I changed my myspace login password and didn't right it down and forgot it. The email address I used is not a real one. Hey!
I have posted variuos answers in posts before realising how dense I was being, and not actually answering the question, just posting more, so I thought I would summerise here.
Basically someone I considered a friend had my loggin details for my myspace and email, so I had to create a new email (flingtheflirt@hotmail.com) and I would hate to have to create a whole new myspace profile, not just the effort, just there's alot of very special messages in there I want to re read etc etc.
Just wondering if it would be possible to retrieve the lost password at all, because if i could get what she changed the password to one to, its likely she may have changed both to the same :s
Anything I can do to prove it's me?

That's just dumb -- what does the photo prove? If I use it to get someone else's MySpace password, AND they find out, AND they contact MySpace, is MySpace going to take THEIR word for it and send them my picture? And since I'd use PhotoShop or equivalent to change the picture to someone else's face, what good would that do anyway??? I must be missing something here...
EDITOR'S NOTE: This is all documented in the Myspace help files. Presumably the photo you send must match the face in the Myspace profile. There may be other things they look for to verify the identity of the password requester. Maybe they send a message to the email account on file, to see if they deny the request. I'd love to hear from someone who has tried this process.

one month passes...

I have a myspace account, but the old Yahoo! email address I used to register with has been deleted. I know that my myspace account is still active because people on my friends list are able to view my profile and post comments. I have a new email address now, and I've been trying to get into my myspace account so that I can change my old email to my new email. I've tried to contact myspace, but I think that they might be trying to send information to my old email address. The old address was jinx_4✧✧✧@ya✧✧✧.c✧✧, and my new one is malloryr✧✧✧@ya✧✧✧.c✧✧. If anyone is able to find or make a new password that can get me into my myspace account, it would be appreciated! ^_^
