Now, you're taking the mickey a bit. You're a bit like them music papers back in the day. We weren't a fan of the music papers, no. Full of trade unionists they were. I don't want them after my money and me planes and me Corvette. Do you remember "I Dream of Wires"? They made the jokes about that. That weren't very nice but we have the plane, so in the end they weren't laughing as the wife keeps telling us.

Gary, I've always wondered - do you feel you got a fair shake from the music press when you first came on the scene with your synthesizer-heavy music?

Dingbod - I was speaking to the wife about that. She says it's like us when we did the albums. Thatcher was like "The Pleasure Principle". David Cameron is like "Warriors".

John D - We came out with the synths on heavy and the like. The music press was all in the punk and the like. They were thinking that I was, y'know, bringing prog into the punk. I don't think that was fair at all. We were New Wave and all. We were still on the guitar and the like, through. But y'know, they were scared of the future and all that.

They just don't want to put the effort in these people, they're just like the trade unionists in the day. Those Sugababes, I didn't let them use my music. They stole it. I asked the wife what we could do and she said not to worry, we would get the money. Now, I like money and I purchased myself a telescope with it (so I could see my alien friends when they come by) but I am not happy. I think they must vote Labour.
