When I get my shit together, I'll be selling CDs, books and comics here. If I don't get my shit together, this thread will shame me for eternity.

OK, here's a start:

GONG FAMILY BOX (4CD) - Purple Pyramid/Cleopatra, 1999
Amazon prices range from $40 to $233. I'll sell mine for $30 postpaid in the US, or $27 plus shipping elsewhere. Discs and jewel cases are Mint, box is scuffed at the corners and hinge but otherwise in good shape.

one year passes...

Bought a few years ago at an estate sale, tucked away and rediscovered last week: a 12" x 11" ring binder for 10" 78 RPM records, containing the following:

1. Columbia 37157, Dinah Shore - Rainy Night in Rio/Through a Thousand Dreams
2. Decca 3930, The Merry Macs - Honk Honk/Kiss the Boys Goodbye
3. MGM 11543, Joni James - My Love, My Love/You're Fooling Someone
4. Decca 23569, Bing Crosby w/the Andrews Sisters - Route 66/South America, Take It Away
5. RCA Bluebird 11230, Glenn Miller Orchestra: I Know Why/Chattanooga Choo-Choo
6. Decca 3416, Glen Gray & the Casa Loma Orchestra: Our Love Affair/We Three
7. Capitol 230, Johnny Mercer: If I Knew Then/Personality
8. Decca 3404, Bob Crosby & His Orchestra: Two Dreams Met/Down Argentina Way
9. OKeh 6343, Tiny Hill & His Orchestra: Don't Let Julia Fool Ya/Time Changes Everything
10. Columbia 36679, Frank Sinatra: If You Please/Sunday, Monday or Always
11. Columbia 36651, Xavier Cugat: Chiu-Chiu/Brazil
12. Columbia 36672, Harry James & His Orchestra: Velvet Moon/Prince Charming

I haven't ever really had to grade records before, so this is really subjective.
Discs range from Good+ to Fine+, heavily played. Labels VF except for #5 -- the label is torn on the Chattanooga Choo-Choo side and the pieces are taped in place to the record. Most of the records have small number labels affixed to the center (jukebox numbering?). Two have labels stuck to the center with the word "Quack" on them. Original sleeves are missing. Binder is Good; worn at edges and spine.

$45 OBO + shipping for all twelve 78s and the binder.

I kind of had it in mind for everyone who uses this board to have their own thread, but I guess this could be ok until the board picks up steam, if it ever does.

Carlos Pollomar (WmC), Tuesday, 13 March 2012 17:39 (five years ago) Permalink

Ah, ok.

Can start a new thread if that seems more appropriate? I posted without really thinking about it.

Couldn't hurt! You might get a better response.
