Any suggestions for a programmable thermostat? No, not dropping $250 for a Nest.
We have 1600 sq ft, forced air electric furnace.

Do you know what sort of programming you think would be useful to you? Do you just want to put the settings on a timer, or something more elaborate?

Hm, my husband works from home, but is in and out. I think it remains to be seen if he sets himself a schedule.
I was thinking a 7 day programmable? If you have AC as well, does that require a thermostat that can handle both? Never had whole house AC before!

I think it is too expensive and we don't need something like it, maybe it is more useful for a house, rather than a condo.

we considered the Nest, ended up buying this simpler and cheaper thermostat:

it controls both heat and AC

the default programming works pretty well, so I haven't gotten around to reprogramming it ... it's easy to override the program if you want
