weird album too. all stuff that freddie recorded while out on bail from jail and before he went to angola prison for three years for pot possession. but with new 70's musical backing tracks. late 50's vocals meets slick 70's. kinda like that elvis album they did in the 80's.

had to bust open a sealed Sandpipers album from the dumpster. sounds so PHAT! The Wonder Of You album. this is a serious potsmoking album. not that i'm smoking pot, but i'm getting a contact high from this album.

i'll always play anything on nemperor at least once. cbs's weird possible tax write-off power pop label. guess the romantics were the biggest nemperor artists. anyway, the one guy in this group, oxendale, was in jet, the glitter band, and sparks. i'll bet he's got some good stories.

jeez, thurston does one interview in decibel and all the brooklyn kids are listening to black metal again. it's uncanny.

black metal sells way way way way better here than all that sludgey drone doom stuff.

tbh my recent black metal phase can be blamed on the ILX first wave norwegian black metal poll.

that poll made me want to dig out old stuff for sure.

but right now i'm listening to steve miller band. cuz the sun is out! and its summer!

lol now the first dimmu borgir lp. remastered! reissued! so far it sounds better than the CD i used to have.

this copy of bobbie gentry's ode to billy joe sounds so great. ever hear the song "bugs" on her album??? people forget what a great songwriter she was. and that voice? such a cool voice. like whiskey and bbq sauce.

bought this because the cover reminded me of that rockin horse lp. sounds more like rare earth so far, but thats good enough for me.

runner album is cool, but nothing on it as good as that one groovy hard rock disco tune on the rockin horse album. can't think of title. i put it on one of my hothead mixes.

'love do me right!' its hard to find a song so rocking. runners 'dynamite' does all right though, in its own way.

'love me do right' is teh finest song. might put on the rub-n-tug mix in a bit!
