i can take pics tomorrow. now that i have one small room devoted to records, its easier to photograph. i just need more shelves for books now. they are all stacked up on top of record shelves. same with CDs and dvds.

so can i one of the expedit things that is taller than it is wide? like it can be up to 8 feet tall but no more than 3 or 4 feet wide. will it stand up?

hmm. how many LPs do each of the cubbie in an expedit shelf hold?

75 or 80

I get about 90-100 in each of mine, depending on 12" or double LPs.. Also I tend to cram mine a little too much..

I love Expedit - got three of them in my flat.

only about 1/3 of the records on the metal shelves are mine. that is where i keep my jazz, reggae, international & 20th century composition stuff. and comps and splits. and spoken word.

if i want to listen to music, i have to squat on a pile of magazines on that one patch of empty rug

that's some impressively solid looking shelving. this thread is a good reminder that i've got to get some wood to make more shelves since vinyl overflow is starting to take over flooring/sitting spaces.

...& probably not best to have a couple of hundred lps resting on top of a spring bottomed couch :-/

I've got an entire bedroom full of vinyl stashed in my dad's old house. Can't get to it right now as the police kicked me out of there, not before making a bitchy comment about all of the shit stored upstairs.
