Sky are showing the england fan from the other test falling while carrying his pint. I dont think i'll ever tire of seeing that. Hope its on youtube.

Here it is ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyc22i1hVbk
youtube says its a kiwi. It was amazing that it was actual live footage as it happened. They were focussing on the crowd pointing out all the crazy barmy army fancy dress and they picked up the drunk guy and then he fellover. The whole commentary were pissing themselves.

two weeks pass...

IPL has just kicked off, is this end of cricket as we know it?

Ed, Friday, 18 April 2008 14:42 (sixteen years ago) link

Holy shit 158 off 73 balls from McCullum!

Neil S, Friday, 18 April 2008 18:35 (sixteen years ago) link

three weeks pass...

The first day of the first test and summer is....... where?

Any chance of this lasting til Monday does we reckon? The weather offers one hope that it might but by all accounts aren't England expected to give NZ a pasting?

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 15 May 2008 09:09 (sixteen years ago) link

They'll be extending each day's play should today be a wash-out. But yeah, a fairly good chance of play on Monday I reckon.

Neil S, Thursday, 15 May 2008 09:14 (sixteen years ago) link

Then there's a fairly good chance I will be not at work on Monday I reckon. Still do cheapio final day tickets at Lord's right?

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 15 May 2008 09:45 (sixteen years ago) link

NZ 2/1

This ain't goonna last til monday.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 15 May 2008 12:29 (sixteen years ago) link

Anderson will be swinging it about like no one's business.

Neil S, Thursday, 15 May 2008 12:38 (sixteen years ago) link

NZ 104-5

pwn

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 15 May 2008 14:53 (sixteen years ago) link

Anderson will be shit for the next 2 matches then. The boys got talent if only he had consistency.

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 15 May 2008 18:24 (sixteen years ago) link

Captains innings from Vaughan, a century.
England 317-8. montys in to parter the skipper.

Herman G. Neuname, Sunday, 18 May 2008 16:38 (sixteen years ago) link

montys out 2nd ball

Herman G. Neuname, Sunday, 18 May 2008 16:41 (sixteen years ago) link

England 235-3 Strauss out for 106. 59 needed to win.
Will England collapse?

Herman G. Neuname, Monday, 26 May 2008 13:35 (sixteen years ago) link

KP run out

Herman G. Neuname, Monday, 26 May 2008 13:47 (sixteen years ago) link

Pietersen gone

Jarlrmai, Monday, 26 May 2008 13:50 (sixteen years ago) link

Go the Bluck Cups.

King Boy Pato, Monday, 26 May 2008 14:22 (sixteen years ago) link

An incredible and unlikely win for England!

Herman G. Neuname, Monday, 26 May 2008 14:45 (sixteen years ago) link

Finally a gutsy performance from England when the chips are down. Well done Monty and Strauss!

Herman G. Neuname, Monday, 26 May 2008 14:49 (sixteen years ago) link

Aus avoiding an upset

Matt, Monday, 26 May 2008 19:22 (sixteen years ago) link

Great work from Clark.

SeekAltRoute, Monday, 26 May 2008 20:25 (sixteen years ago) link

bah bluddy Clark.

I know its only NZ but I enjoyed this.

Gotta feel if Collingwood and Pietersen find form, maybe dump Bell (bit of a Hick/Ramprakash type to me), MAYBE if Flintoff comes back batting well and firing in four over spells, THEN MAYBE, y'know...oh and I hear Simon Jones is recovering ok w/Worcestershire

xyzzzz__, Monday, 26 May 2008 21:10 (sixteen years ago) link

Damn, i was hoping the Windies would win:\

wilter, Monday, 26 May 2008 21:59 (sixteen years ago) link

Nah Bell aint going anywhere. Colly might get dumped if hes awful against SA.
Flintoff bat well? That would be a first. I suppose there's more chance of that however than Anderson being consistent.

Herman G. Neuname, Monday, 26 May 2008 22:30 (sixteen years ago) link

Jimmy's on fire. 2 wickets with the new ball. I just wish he could bowl like this all the time.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 13:43 (sixteen years ago) link

Good innings from Broad as well. Boycs reckons he'll get a century before his career is over.

Neil S, Friday, 6 June 2008 13:46 (sixteen years ago) link

Oh I think he'll get more than 1. I think he will be a better allrounder than Freddie.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 14:11 (sixteen years ago) link

I would be more worried about his bowling than his batting

Tom D., Friday, 6 June 2008 14:13 (sixteen years ago) link

He needs to develop a metronomic action a la McGrath. He has the height, but not the pace at the moment.

Neil S, Friday, 6 June 2008 14:19 (sixteen years ago) link

Joel garner was in his late 20s before he got the pace. They're probably around the same size and Broad will get get stronger.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 14:20 (sixteen years ago) link

If England do go with a 4 man attack against Australia or South Africa we might have Freddie at 7 and Broad at 8.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 14:24 (sixteen years ago) link

Joel garner was in his late 20s before he got the pace

He was pretty good all along!

Tom D., Friday, 6 June 2008 14:27 (sixteen years ago) link

The BBC text commentary guy has annoyingly taken to calling Broad Malfoy. The beeb should have stuck with the factual stuff and not tried to copy the Guardian IMO.

Neil S, Friday, 6 June 2008 14:33 (sixteen years ago) link

Jimmy Jimmy
62-3

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:14 (sixteen years ago) link

Good stuff.

Jarlrmai, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:17 (sixteen years ago) link

4 down now. Jimmy nearly got Flynn LBW and he did next ball.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:17 (sixteen years ago) link

Jimmy is so frustrating because you know he can bowl like this, then he is awful for the next 3 tests. If he could bowl like this against SA/Aus then we might have a chance. But wouldn't be surprised if he was mince tomorrow nevermind the 2nd innings.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:19 (sixteen years ago) link

Going to the pub in a minute to watch this...

Neil S, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:28 (sixteen years ago) link

And Jimmy has a five-for

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:35 (sixteen years ago) link

might have missed it all by the time I leave!

Neil S, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:38 (sixteen years ago) link

86 to avoid the follow on. but jacob oram could fairly easily knock through that in an hour on his own.

Upt0eleven, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:51 (sixteen years ago) link

well, maybe two.

Upt0eleven, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:51 (sixteen years ago) link

NZ inverted batting order.

Jarlrmai, Friday, 6 June 2008 15:55 (sixteen years ago) link

Now here's something to play during the tea break:

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 16:02 (sixteen years ago) link

93-6 (Oram was the wicket btw)

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 6 June 2008 16:03 (sixteen years ago) link

This BBC stream is miles behind.
