i like Copperplate alright.
i never use it - but my local watering hole has it as their font and it don't urk me none.
good call on Papyrus tho. blugh.

have you guys seen HELVETICA? it's really pretty fascinating, for a movie about a font. some of the people they interview have very strong opinions about helvetica.

Yeah, I liked that movie, too.

Helvetica is gorgeous and risked overexposure, which is why it the introduction of helvetica neue was so relaxing.

papyrus is awful

^^ if u guys will just listen to me from upthread it will save u the trouble of listing all the fonts that suck. heres a hint, they all do except like 10 of them.

I like Copperplate too, although everything bad said against it is true enough.

I think crappy school-project fonts like Comic-sans and Algerian have a certain charm.

1. Any font is ugly when used inappropriately.
2. It takes a mighty good font to resist uglification-by-overexposure.

Keep these two rules in mind and you'll do OK.

The plaintiff's attorney in one of my employment discrimination cases put all the pleadings, including the allegations of sexual harassment, in Comic Sans.

I was yanking fonts out of Ubuntu in an effort to get a little better speed out of it -- font management does not exist in Linux, unsurprisingly -- and a vast majority of the real sludge, the bottom of the barrel tasteless offensive UGH fonts that came with the distro were by this popular fellow: http://www.larabiefonts.com/.
