ok so what i done diddded was:

• fri: had theatre date (this; i recommend), then fruitlessly searched 4 friends celebrating a birthday in the city, who turned up later at party w/ velour shirt man. got draaank, tried to pick up girl, failed, went home.
• sat: prised self out of bed for lunch w/ another friend's birthday @ DUMPLINGS! place in city. friends announced they were preggers while there. went home via barkly sq to buy delicious roast pork hock, watched football and read internets
• sun: dishes, clothes washed, floor vacuumed. went clothes shopping, came home disappointed. went and did secrete training sesh on bike, then watched end of illegal road race @ museum.

i went and osmosed some coolsie post-anco/chillwave happenings at the empy. one dude was alright, he could actually sing and had interesting melodies. the other two weren't so great. i didn't stay for p1ssy p4w

but seriously these "young people" approach the whole live show thing a little differently these days. these guys were pretty much 100% backing tracks/triggered samples save for vocals (and even some of those were coming off their cute little hardware sampler thingies)

That was one thing I admit I found a bit weird about the chiptune gig we went to @ penny black. I mean I'm used to the idea cos thats what R does, but it is odd seeing them stand up there and have to do something so they dont just look like they're DJing :/
