My second recommend, should weather not permit, is Tyranny of Distance just by Windsor station. Can smoke in there, and the food is bloody awesome.

just remembered, melb ppl, that i went to this sichuan restaurant in Melbourne a few months ago and all the food, even the alleged 'milder' dishes, was sooo fucking hot, it was pretty amazing. A bit of googling makes me think it was called sichuan house. anyone kno it?

maaaan. A group of baout 8 of us went, who are/were familiar with the joys/pains of sichuan food. and seriously we were all sweaty, defeated messes after it. Looking back it was an awesome night.

Started my new job this week and have uni exams in about five weeks. OF COURSE this is the perfect time to get kicked out my place and have to find one (that isn't $300 per week like ALL Sydney sharehouses these days) and move into it in two weeks. AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHH.

300 a week in a SHAREHOUSE? jesus. I'm sharing with 1 other in a 2brm house and my half is 225. Then again a friend of mine lives in a flat in glebe thats 650 a week, so.

$300? Srsly Sydney's pricey but not that bad. (Tho I share a four bedroom house and I pay $170 and I got the biggestest room and one (1) balcony). If one's gonna pay $300 one might as well pay $400 and get one's own place. Which I probably will soon.

Yeah look house hunting is a cunting pain. My recommendations: Look up the realo advertising the place. Find their app forms on the website. Print it out, and fill it in. Take it with you to inspection - with photocopies of your ID. You show youre prepared. Y'd be surprised how few ppl do this. I even include my card. It works!

Presumably Oz techno heroes Ɩŧch-E & Scŗaŧch-E had to wait until more visible member Paul Ma₵ had wrung every last drop of success from commercial vocal house before they could properly reform: their return on ‘Other Planets’ sees them chasing a more targeted audience. The groove is lumpen, zombiefied shuffle created from a mass of dying synthesisers, sounding like a cross between Soulwax and Black Strobe both circa 2004. So far so familiar – though the groove is excellently put together. What distinguishes ‘Other Planets’ is MDN/\’s rap, the chorus of which prompted one of the few times I’ve actually been shocked by the lyrics to a dance track while at a club – which only seemed to make people dance harder. Comes with great dirty house remixes courtesy of Sŧyle Of Eye and Majick Johnson, though I’m not sure I can fully endorse anything which takes attention away from that rap.
