Bacon, Chicken, Pasta, Salad. (Though I would take pizza or hard cheeses over bacon, fwiw.)

What exactly are the hard cheeses under question here? Cheddar? Parmesan?

Gravel Puzzleworth, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:10 (thirteen years ago) link

Good cheddar on its own destroys 90 percent of this poll so it doesn't matter really

flashing drill + penis fan (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:11 (thirteen years ago) link

any cheeses that aren't like brie & camembert & that kinda thing

not gonna get in a whole thing about it ok just sayin that was my experience & I'm a guy who used to special-order hamsteaks from Missouri

well I hear ya but I've done my time as a veggie and there's enough special meats that I miss too much to go back to it

good dry-cured ham for a start

I've done my time as a veggie too - I didn't get enough iron. I'd be vegetarian if I could be a lazy one. no real attachment to meat tbh.

I'm fortunate in that my job allows me luxuriant amounts of time in the kitchen when I'm not away - I'm the cook in my house, & I usually start meal-planning for dinner around midday. When I'm out on the road at work, eating well is a challenge for sure

Carrots scream when you pull them out of the ground, etc

no mercy for carrots, they didn't show me any from 1984 thru 1998

tbh if someone played recordings of screaming carrots for me, I would eat even more of them

pastry/pasta/cheese/salad i guess???? salad means all salads not just like garden salad or w/e right????

TEEN LESBIAN (Lamp), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:28 (thirteen years ago) link

I think most things mean whatever you decide them to mean

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:29 (thirteen years ago) link

cool, from now on "salad" means "Maserati"

measuring of the waist (HI DERE), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:30 (thirteen years ago) link

this logic is the only way I could have voted against curry

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:30 (thirteen years ago) link

wd rather eat a pizza than a Maserati

see, I know there's a gross double entendre in there but I can't be bothered to winkle it out

flashing drill + penis fan (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:32 (thirteen years ago) link

cool, from now on "salad" means "Maserati"

in that case i guess you do win friends with salad...

kinda bothered by the internal inconsistencies itp like if i vote for cheese and salad can i still have chicken salad (food of the gods?) really need clarity on this kinda thing b4 i vote, probably

TEEN LESBIAN (Lamp), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:35 (thirteen years ago) link

pstries vs. bacon is unfair

salad vw. pizza also a problem

Pastries, Hard Cheeses, Pasta, Pizza - but i have not hit the vote button yet so

Poutine kissed boy "like a kitten" (jjjusten), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:48 (thirteen years ago) link

so there's still time to switch from pasta to curry!

Pastries, Hard Cheeses, Pasta, Pizza

this is why plax won't visit MN imo

"It's far from 'lol' you were reared, boy" (darraghmac), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:53 (thirteen years ago) link

is stilton a hard cheese? Because if not, I think the fact that pasta beat soft cheeses means pasta could seriously win the whole thing.

Gravel Puzzleworth, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:54 (thirteen years ago) link

Stilton is a hard cheese imo, alongside Danish Blue, but not Roquefort or Gorgonzola?

flashing drill + penis fan (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:57 (thirteen years ago) link

Wait, pasta beat soft cheeses? J,YP

flashing drill + penis fan (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:58 (thirteen years ago) link

its going to be hard for me to vote for curry because it seems like its supposed to mean some weirdo brit food that i have never had. i mean i had a buffet at everest on grand that had 6 different kinds of curry on it just yesterday and i ate a little of all of those sons of bitches, but i get the impression that this british thing is some sort of thing they squeeze out of a tube into a paper cup or something so i am not voting for that for sure

Poutine kissed boy "like a kitten" (jjjusten), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 15:59 (thirteen years ago) link

Curry isn't a wierdo Brit dish, it's a generic Britishes term that covers the majority of Anglo-Indian or Euro-Indian main dishes. In other words it is food of the gods.

flashing drill + penis fan (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 16:00 (thirteen years ago) link

okay dude seriously, there is a lot to lol at in British food but one thing that is almost unilaterally impeccable and better than what you can get in the US is Indian food

I will take you to London and we will go to Brick Lane and you will be amazed

Mayor Hickenlooper and the liberal agenda (HI DERE), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 16:01 (thirteen years ago) link

In Britain "curry" is usually shorthand for a number of Indian dishes. xp

if i were british id probably vote curry over pasta. but im not
