Or:

100g of flour, a pinch of salt, 300ml milk, 1 egg.

Put flour and salt in a mixing bowl, make a little hole in the middle, put the egg in and half the milk, mix it until it's smooth, gradually adding in the rest of the milk as you do so. Voila.

voila!

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:05 (nineteen years ago) link

Now you are ready, my son. Go pancake.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:06 (nineteen years ago) link

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 10:30 (nineteen years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:15 (nineteen years ago) link

You set fire to a newspaper?

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Nice!

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:26 (nineteen years ago) link

That was awful. RJg you only left us £190. You pig!

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 17:55 (nineteen years ago) link

Only enough for 2 upper case letters :(

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:24 (nineteen years ago) link

Does anyone think that the famous Glasgow "patter" would flow better on a shiny new thread. Even broadband's having trouble keeping up with this gargantuan beast of a thread...

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:29 (nineteen years ago) link

I think starting a new thread goes against the spirit of this thread.

If you change the Show Messages bit in your Setting to 'Last 50 Answers', it gets less gargantuan.

Also, can we have pancake day again, for RJG (and me)?

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:39 (nineteen years ago) link

Thanks for that. That's much better.

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:40 (nineteen years ago) link

asshoppers have applied.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 21:18 (nineteen years ago) link

Which asshoppers?

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 22:12 (nineteen years ago) link

I tried starting a new thread, but the rest of Glasgow wasn't having any of it, so I ignored them all for a bit but was lured back by the sparkling conversation. The moral: don't try it because you will be outcast.

The moral: don't try it because you will be outcast.

I think I've already blown it there... At least with m family, by living in Edinburgh.

KeithW (kmw), Wednesday, 9 February 2005 13:46 (nineteen years ago) link

Hey I know that guy below the drummer! He goes out with Stacey who was on my journalism course. I drunkenly chatted to them at the Winchester a while back. The small world of ILX eh?

Oh, and I like the Orange Juice t-shirt.

the 20th: celtic Vs. rangers, lauren Vs. glasgow, me Vs. optimo?

I will only go to optimo if it goes to dublin.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 13 February 2005 19:50 (nineteen years ago) link

I must come to Glasgow again soon. If for no reason but to meet Cozen. Am I deluded?

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 13 February 2005 20:45 (nineteen years ago) link

Actually, is anyone alive enough to tell tales of the Lynedoch Crescent festivities last night?

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 13 February 2005 20:51 (nineteen years ago) link

you're potentially deluded!

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 13 February 2005 21:03 (nineteen years ago) link

I must come to dublin as well though. it is like 5p on ryanair.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 13 February 2005 21:03 (nineteen years ago) link

I'd like to feed some ducks.

lynedoch crescent had funnies and fannies, in unequal measure. I drank vodka then vodka then water then repeat. maybe I am growing up.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 14 February 2005 01:29 (nineteen years ago) link

I mean, throwing up.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 14 February 2005 01:32 (nineteen years ago) link

I remember The Crescent being drunk and then this girl started talking to me and RJG and she was so boring I just had to walk away. Apart from that, OK.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 14 February 2005 12:04 (nineteen years ago) link

she'd been to italy.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 14 February 2005 12:28 (nineteen years ago) link

Lara (Lara), Monday, 14 February 2005 12:51 (nineteen years ago) link

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 14 February 2005 15:47 (nineteen years ago) link

There are no Glaswegians with me. There rarely are.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 14 February 2005 16:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Should I be trying Glasgow on Wednesday? At what time?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 14 February 2005 22:09 (nineteen years ago) link

I already asked the question, the 20th: Vs. day?
