Schopenbecq sees the driving force of feminism as being women trying to control male sexuality in an increasingly secular free sexual market. He would like the men's rights movement to place greater emphasis on the 'legislative creep' that is beginning to threaten all men.

this is just astounding

Approach any gift from feminazis with extreme caution while wearing bomb disposal gear. Those vultures never give anything away for altruistic reasons. I don’t know any gay men who trust sneaky, man-hating lesbians. They don’t give a fat rats about the rights and welfare of gay men any more than they care about straight men.

The marriage/divorce industry is trying to drum up more trade and gay marriage looks like an enticingly untapped market. No thanks. I keep wondering what the fine print will entail. This article offers some clever and perfectly believable perspectives – especially suggestion that gays will be forced to renounce their sexual autonomy. A Faustian deal indeed. But one in which feminists pull all of the strings. Smart gay men already know this.

I agree with Mr Donovan’s point that feminists have scant insight into male sexuality, gay or straight. He gives a good account of the diverse tastes of gay men. Feminists always give the impression of being hysterical Victorian maidens when confronted with healthy male horniness. In my experience, femiloons react to gay sexuality like Truman-era nuns catching a hapless lad in the throes of self-abuse. I keep expecting them to retrieve the smelling salts from their tatty slut walking underthings.

There must be some kind of link between their baren sexual interiors and their lack of robust humour. These are not the kind of persons who should be deliberating on any kind of sexuality. Yet, here they are deciding the fate of all of us. No man gay or straight, shall escape the wrath of these joyless harridans.

the part about feminists being humorless seems like standard anti-feminist boilerplate, but the part about sneaky lesbians sabotaging gay men is a new and delightful treat.

getting out of the realm of hilariously batshit and into the grimly common:

most ‘gay bashings’ are men reacting or overreacting to crimes which the homosexual 1st did such as homo grabs man’s groin or butt against will & the man reacts by bashing or killing the gay.

Anthony Weiner is semi-exceptional because he is the rare example of a male sexual solipsist, committing the sin that women are usually guilty of. Oddly appropriate, considering his own feminine behavior and his being in the pocket of Big Feminism.

This is a terrible post. One key thing that popped out to me was you saying that you had to put in high effort to get laid. That case in point shows you how bad your game was. You should be putting in the most MINIMAL effort and getting laid. All the use of escorts shows is your inability to step your game up.

Women have known they are weaker than men and that they are at their mercy since the dawn of time. Generations upon generations of that feeling has compounded to the point where women pretty much feel threatened by all men at all times. They are good at hiding it of course, but believe me, it is there. A lot of “game” is based around building enough attraction to make that feeling of threat sexy. Threat + no attraction = creepy, threat + attraction = sexy. Of course, there are men these days that are genuinely non-threatening, but this is an aberration of history.

THROW THE NON-THREATENING MEN ON THE ASH-HEAP OF HISTORY

have any of you ppl heard of eric raymond? i don't remember where i ran into his stuff but for some reason i was reminded of him again. he wrote this very stirring document:

Why We Fight — An Anti-Idiotarian Manifesto (2.0)
http://www.catb.org/~esr/aim/

apparently he's kind of a big deal

In a day or two I plan to do a blog post on the way engineering decisions can be critically important at cusp points in the history of society. In order for part of the argument in that post to make sense, my readers need to hear a story I’ve been hinting at in comments for some time: the first time that I personally made a difference in the world at what I believe was history-changing scale, and how that happened.

http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=2539

Sometimes, when society reaches a cusp point, the decisions of individuals and small groups can have very large downstream consequences that are even visibly large in the near term.

I have personally been present, and an actor, for at least two such hinge points of history: the finalization of the Internet design in 1983, and the mainstream emergence of open-source methods in the late 1990s. Even in the relatively short time since it has become clear that these are game-changers on the civilizational level, with ripple effects that will shape the rest of human history.

http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=2545

anyway, he looks like your basic techno-libertarian who doesn't have a problem with torture, thinks global warming is a hoax, etc. his writing style is so awesome i wanted to put him in here.

goole, Wednesday, 8 June 2011 18:07 (twelve years ago) link

ppl like eric raymond, if you scratch them deep enough, have no real problem with stuff like slavery, because slavery is an economic outcome that was subject to competition and therefore is philosophically compatible with his ideal social system and, of course, he wouldn't sacrifice his ideal society over a little thing like that.

i dunno, that's a pretty wild charge to make of a man. he seems plenty nuts to my mind, but i've been perusing his blog for a while and it doesn't seem to fit.

he thinks iranian agents might be after him for trying to help the anti-gov't protestors with internet connectivity stuff, but being pro-slavery is a little different...

xp umm guide to what now??

I’ve found reading about this stuff fascinating, if not quite for the usual reasons. I’m what PUAs call a “natural”, a man who figured out much of game on his own and consequently cuts a wide sexual swathe when he cares to. Not quite the same game they’re playing, however. For one thing, I’ve never tried to pick up a woman in a bar in my entire life. College parties when I was a student, yes; SF conventions, neopagan festivals, SCA events, yes; bars, no.

Also, and partly as consequence of where I hang out, it has been quite unusual for me to hit on women with IQs below about 120 – and it may well be the case that I’ve never tried to interest a woman with below-average intelligence. (Er, which is not to say they don’t notice me; even in middle age I get lots of IOIs from waitresses and other female service personnel. Any PUA would tell you this is a predictable and unremarkable consequence of being an alpha male.)

goole, Wednesday, 8 June 2011 18:28 (twelve years ago) link

I've known some high level engineers who were also deep-dyed libertarian types. Not one of them would have advocated slavery as a positive position, but most of them, if you made it explicit that if their arguments were taken as absolute they would have to accept slavery as consistent with their views, would have preferred to accept slavery as an unpopular but justifiable concommitant of their ideal world, rather than see it as a flaw in their ideas.
