OK, a dumb, boring iTunes question: (forgive if I've already asked this...can't remember)

Why does my library not automatically update when I make changes to the folder where my music lives? For example, I added a new album to the iTunes Music folder, but I had to manually import it. Also, when I delete or move a file, iTunes does not know what happened.

I shaved my head again.

It went like this: I went to Supercuts at 9:15, and it opens at 9. There were already three dudes in front of me. I waited for 45 minutes while women with appointments came in and were served immediately. I was like, "You can make an appointment at Supercuts? Rly?" I wasn't even the first one to walk out. I was third. I was one of a continuing sequence of people walking out.

Then I got home, looked in the mirror, and said to myself, "Self, you can't live with this hair anymore. You have had permanent bedhead and a nasty cowlick for coming on two months." And then I shaved my head. During the scissors part of the process, I nicked my ear, and if you've ever nicked your ear, you know that it NEVER stops bleeding. Well, never until a few minutes ago.

Anyway. I am bald again. Look for me on WDYLL.

OK, that's fine ... do we want to aim for around 1 or 2 p.m. tomorrow (Sun)? John, you may want to bring your keyboard if that's possible. We have the Farfisa at the space, which we can try to use if you want, but I thought it was out of tune. However, when I checked it against my guitar tuner it seemed to actually be in tune, so who knows?

Jordan! Thanks for finally getting the Field Music album to me, and it's actually the first album plus the EP they did after that. Which is exciting, because the EP has "You're Not Supposed To," which I've been watching the video for on iTunes and I'm kind of obsessed with.

It is so nice outside. I walked to Sunshine Cafe on Chicago and ate a spinach and feta omelette while reading Donald Barthelme. It was fun. But now I don't know what to do with myself.

John, did you end up seeing The Host last night? If so, was it worth seeing? Though it seems like a waste to go see a movie in this weather. Though no more of a waste than sitting around in front of the computer.

I switched back to iTunes because while I like a lot of things about Winamp (esp. the fact that when you stop a song, it fades it out instead of just STOPPING dead) but it was not playing nice with my iPod (when trying to transfer music, it would send 1 song, then freeze up).

Believe me, I would have preferred to have said FU to iTunes forever, but it won this time.

I still have some leftover 'shrooms in my freezer if anyone wants them. I grew them myself a few years ago and moved them from NC to here. (Funny story: J/J and I were tripping and the female J said, "You totally have to bring these along when we move to Chicago." So I did. Then when I mentioned it to her later, she had a heart attack. Not that funny, really.)
