You clearly do not know what you are talking about. It is not about "not me, not me!". What I meant with my quotation is that many Muslims right now fear this was the doing of a muslim. For they will face the retaliation in the most harsh way, as they have experienced, just because previous terrorists have done terrorist deeds in the name of islam.

Obviously this is far from the most important concern but depending on what this turns out to be I'm wondering if the London Marathon in six days time will even go ahead, and whether it should. Probably even bigger security for the Thatcher funeral as well.

I'm sure everyone has had some fucked up thoughts about this but maybe save them for later?

BOSTON -- The Boston Marathon is honoring the victims of the Newtown, Conn., shooting with a special mile marker in Monday's race.

Boston Athletic Association president Joanne Flaminio said there was "special significance" to the fact that the race is 26.2 miles long and 26 people died at Sandy Hook Elementary school.

Laura Nowacki, a spokeswoman for the Newtown Strong Fund, says the runners will hit Heartbreak Hill knowing it's nothing like the pain felt by the runners back home. She says, "It's just running, but we want our steps to count."

The mile marker that will hang at the end of the 26th mile will feature the city seal surrounded by 26 stars, one for each victim.

There also will be 26 seconds of silence at the start before the race.

I had the tv off, was actually in the middle of doing work when all of this happened; once again my wife called me to tell me it was going on (she also told me about the WTC attack)

glad to see boston ilxors are alright. this is horrible, horrible, horribe. nothing to really say other than i hope the death/injury count doesn't rise any higher.

in addition to the stretcher dude who seems to be missing a foot, Channel 5 keeps showing footage of a woman in a wheelchair being rushed to treatment whose right foot looks like.. it might fall off

it could just be because of how it's bandaged but... I don't think so? then again I'm not in the habit of looking at pics of almost severed feet so grain of salt etc

the dude at Channel 5 is editorializing hardcore about people on the scene not being able to process what happened, leaving out the inconvenient fact that most of these people just ran a marathon and are exhausted

Devices/bombs likely place in garbage cans. Third device found unexploded in a garbage can as well.

i want to hold back on what to believe about the unexploded devices, that sounds like something that could easily be misinformation/misidentification. but still.

allegedly the first blast came from inside Marathon Sports, according to Channel 5

CBS is pretty confused about the number of bombs. I don't think I'm able to go to bed before knowing that everyone is safe.
