It was 100° in Dallas yesterday. It's 63° here and I'm in heaven.

EZ Snappin, if you get a chance swing by Uncle Hugo's used SFF bookstore, one of my favorite places and very un-baseball. And the international bazaar thingy is right across the way.

My mom lives in vadnais heights so I see a lot of meat raffle notices on the bars around there yeah. I have yet to partake of the experience myself. Just as when I was a child I never got to find out what the fuck a booya was.

My mother has a knack for turning up randomly at meat raffles in the suburban burger taverns between Maple Grove and Big Lake, where she pisses off the regulars by generally winning more than half of the raffle prizes.

I had a banh mizza for dinner and my heart is filled with happiness.

The Mill Museum was fun. Would have loved it as a kid.

Annnnnd I'm at my Mom's. When we arrived she was watching Polka Spotlight on TV featuring Rod Cerar and his marauding polka combo. Rod Cerar just explained MIDI to a bunch of 80 year old Twin Cities poles. It lets him make his accordion sound like a banjo-- or anything he wants!!!

So good to be back. We have a sprawling 13 days here.
