Right wing 'historian' Paul Johnson was another regular customer. He would always browse the art book shelves, on top of which perched one of our fairly sizeable speakers. I wld deliberately crank up the most horrible noise whenever Johnson stood under this speaker...but I never got so much as a murmur out of the fucker.

Last cpl of times I've been to the NH Book exchange it was Marque Moon and some Nick Cave so Merzbow sounds better already.

I used to crank Funhouse by the Stooges whenever you walked in :-)

Bobby Keys died at his home in Nashville this morning from cirrhosis. He was 70.

Very very sad.

He had to sit out the most recent leg of the Stones tour due to illness. His stories about romancing Natalie Delon during the Exile sessions (told in Keef's book) are quite something.
