Eyeball Kicks obv referring to an uproarious & very kinky incest thread where all the taboos got challenged

If only.

tho i think i did an actual pfunkboy post in 2002

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Tuesday, 28 April 2015 19:21 (nine years ago) link

2002 d k (i was in high school, ilm pop music theory was exciting, pharrell with his shirt off, ethan p imitations, getting my first blowjob while listening to freeway, any bumped thread from this period and i scan it already blushing for any embarrassing shit i said)
2004 william wiggins (like a stiff british music writer parody concept but then just talking about da band and cassidy singles in no caps, ten posts about nas in a row)
2004 cloverlandthug (ten posts about lil flip in a row, in hindsight chamillionaire sucked)
2007 dylannn (talked about china and working at a hotel, less interested in posting about music except nas and lots of posts with no responses or not very interested responses months later such as http://ilxor.com/ILX/ThreadSelectedControllerServlet?boardid=40&threadid=93677 and ITT -_------->>> pictures of william t vollmann (no shops allowed) and lethbridge and selected films of joey wong 王祖賢 1984 - 2004).
roughly 5000-6000 across all four?

dylannn, Tuesday, 28 April 2015 19:33 (nine years ago) link

i think i've been here under various names for eleven (!) years, and still never once been invited to the secret board :(

Since the start of both, though admittedly I was initially grouchy about ILE.

there's nothing exceptional there so even in the unlikely event you discerned one, no chuffage would follow

5,000 users sounds like a lot to me, feels like there's only a few hundred regular posters

I'm pretty sure there's a post somewhere where stet broke down the entire ilx user base scientifically. I can't find it at the moment, but there's this:

the lurker pool for ilx is huuuuuuuuuuuuge

(really, really huge. Scary huge)

I still long for the days of a screenshot of 1 Active Users (that isn't after an outage)

I remember ILE starting and never even clicked on it until 2004ish as i was only interested in reading about music (hence why people long for old ILE lol )

Eric Burdon & War, On Drugs (Cosmic Slop), Tuesday, 28 April 2015 20:26 (nine years ago) link

Yeah, I stayed on ILM for a while when I started. ILE seemed weird and scary to me. I did not love everything. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to ILX Heaven.

been here since summer 2004. only posted a lousy 2,444 times.

12 yrs ffs

mookieproof, Wednesday, 29 April 2015 00:16 (nine years ago) link

Yeah, I stayed mostly on ILM for years before dipping a toe into ILE. I think I migrated to ILNFL before I even went to ILE.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 29 April 2015 00:25 (nine years ago) link

I feel like I read somewhere that lurker / contributor ratio on forums tends to be 90%/10%, so.... ~5000 posters, ~50000 lurkers...?

Realhiphopshire (sleepingbag), Wednesday, 29 April 2015 01:28 (nine years ago) link

Or, you know, whatevs the correct math is 🎃

Realhiphopshire (sleepingbag), Wednesday, 29 April 2015 01:30 (nine years ago) link

I think you posted a 10%/100% which means lurkers are 100% and we are the posting 10% which seems about right
