Mmm, I'd forgotten about camembert waterbed and chips. Maybe I'll make some for dinner tonight. OH NO! Cheesehatin' Ally C is coming over! Will have to make spag bol instead.

Only the truly sick hate cheese.

I don't think ally C could disagree.

And we've forgotten panzerotti - big beignets of mozzarella and tomato inside thin bread coating. Only available at Luini's in Milan...and Theobald's Road.

I'd forgotten all about panzerotti! There was a greasy little place near my high school that had them, and my fellow pom pom girls and I used to scarf them before football games. Just thinking about them just made me get leftover pizza from my refrigerator for breakfast, as that's the closest I can get right now.
Also, anyone who feels ill from fried cheese has clearly eaten too much of it. You're not supposed to eat a whole BOWL of cheese curds or anything. Sometimes, you just have to hold the fried cheese to your nose and take a good whiff, and that's enough.

Kirsten, you should be able to make them or get beignets as an emergency substitute.

Oh man, if I could make panzerotti I would never leave my apartment.

Hmmmm.... Panzerotti... I've had some 2 weeks ago with some arugola stuffed inside for extra goodness...

Baaderoni (Fabfunk), Thursday, 4 March 2004 15:11 (twenty years ago) link

Anyone who tried wouldn't be able to squeeze out leave their apartment.

Paneer!

There's a tandoori place near me that does paneer in the oven (it's a little lighter this way)... they serve it in chunks that are the size of Rubik's Cubes! Delicious.
