okay, I don't use "hot" to mean anything but "good-looking," really. Carla Gallo's there to be hilarious on Undeclared, I think.

I find Gallo more attractive than Keena. If we're rating these things.

n/a, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:35 (seventeen years ago) link

BUT OF COURSE NEITHER ARE AS ATTRACTIVE AS MY BEAUTIFUL ANGEL SARAH!!! XXX OOO XXX OOO

n/a, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:36 (seventeen years ago) link

Yer nuts.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:36 (seventeen years ago) link

i'm starting to wish we were talking about the weather.

kenan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:36 (seventeen years ago) link

jaymc's xpost is a perfect example of how no xpost warnings are trouble

kenan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:37 (seventeen years ago) link

I find Gallo more attractive than Keena.

otm

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:38 (seventeen years ago) link

carla gallo seems more cute than hot. monica keena, the opposite.

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:39 (seventeen years ago) link

Yeah, let's not have the creepy conversation about which girls that are way younger than us are attractive.

n/a, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:40 (seventeen years ago) link

that is probably best.

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:41 (seventeen years ago) link

Monica Keena was born 13 days after you, Nick.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:42 (seventeen years ago) link

And Carla Gallo is 31.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:43 (seventeen years ago) link

when was undeclared on, anyway?

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:43 (seventeen years ago) link

2001-02, I think?

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:44 (seventeen years ago) link

Carla Gallo is 31.

!!!

n/a, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:44 (seventeen years ago) link

be she cute or hot i do not know but i stand by nick's assertion:

I find Gallo more attractive than Keena.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:44 (seventeen years ago) link

you're right, just checked imdb.

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:44 (seventeen years ago) link

So I guess you have a point if you're saying that we're talking about women who were younger then than we are now.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:44 (seventeen years ago) link

kevin is also right. keena wears too much eyeliner in a self-consciously-hot kinda way.

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:45 (seventeen years ago) link

Anyone got cheap/semi-cheap dinner ideas in the Loop? Preferably on or near Madison? Jesse? Anyone? I'm not picky.

dan m, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:46 (seventeen years ago) link

Monica Keena had the second-best death on Dawson's Creek: she got drunk and fell into the creek and drowned.

Best death: Dawson's dad was eating an ice cream cone in the car, the scoop of ice cream fell off, and as he reached down to pick it up in the middle of an intersection, another car hit him.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:47 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't remember her wearing eyeliner on Undeclared or Dawson's Creek. She doesn't need to -- her eyes are huge and amazing.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:48 (seventeen years ago) link

Maybe she's born with it. Maaaybe it's Mabelline.

KitCat, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:50 (seventeen years ago) link

or Maybelline. Nobody knows.

KitCat, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:50 (seventeen years ago) link

i'm sure she did. dead people wear eyeliner on tv, if they're female.

i was just going from the GIS results rather than memories of the show, which i haven't watched in quite a while.

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:50 (seventeen years ago) link

I will say that Carla Gallo was perfect on Undeclared, though, because she's exactly the kind of plain-looking college freshman that way outnumber the actual hot girls in college. Like you just look at her and think "oh, she's totally a psych major."

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:51 (seventeen years ago) link

Jay is the same age as my youngest sister.

KitCat, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 17:58 (seventeen years ago) link

Did 'Knocked Up' ever come out?

KitCat, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:01 (seventeen years ago) link

kenan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:08 (seventeen years ago) link

That reminds me, I sort of wanted to see The Dead Girl.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:15 (seventeen years ago) link

The one out by the railroad tracks?

kenan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:21 (seventeen years ago) link

You can be Chris, I'll be Teddy. Nick is Gordie, obv.

kenan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:22 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't get it. I'm talking about the new Karen Moncrieff movie, with Brittany Murphy.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:24 (seventeen years ago) link

Come on, somebody has to get that reference. Help me out, people.

kenan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:24 (seventeen years ago) link

Btw, am I an idiot because I didn't realize that there was a new Spider-Man movie this year?

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:24 (seventeen years ago) link

jaymc is becoming the american tuomas.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:25 (seventeen years ago) link

i got the reference kenan.

i really hate the lack of xpost notifcation.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:25 (seventeen years ago) link

even i get the reference, but i don't remember characters' names. (if i'm right)

that seemed like everyones' favorite movie in junior high.

me too.

JuliaA, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:28 (seventeen years ago) link

Is it a reference to that River Phoenix movie? Stand by Me or whatever? (I always get it confused with Lean on Me and Stand and Deliver. Although I guess I know that Stand and Deliver is the Edward James Olmos teaching-math-in-East-L.A. movie.)

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:28 (seventeen years ago) link

i'll play the dead kid.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:28 (seventeen years ago) link

in either movie.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:29 (seventeen years ago) link

If I were at all bad-ass I'd be Kiefer Sutherland's character.

dan m, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:30 (seventeen years ago) link

I also get it confused with The River's Edge.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:30 (seventeen years ago) link

Unless there is a freakishly large character I'm forgetting about.

dan m, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:30 (seventeen years ago) link

The River Phoenix's Edge

Jordan, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:31 (seventeen years ago) link

Jesus.

Stand by Me (1986) = kids find a dead body
The River's Edge (1989) = kids find a dead body
Stand and Deliver (1988) = inner-city school shapes up via charismatic teacher
Lean on Me (1989) = inner-city school shapes up via charmismatic principal

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:34 (seventeen years ago) link

Whoops, River's Edge is also 1986.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:34 (seventeen years ago) link

NB I have not seen any of these movies.

jaymc, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:35 (seventeen years ago) link

Update: pre-game beerz & dinner here if anyone cares, which is probably not the case - http://jakstap.com/

dan m, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 18:36 (seventeen years ago) link

Based on an actual incident in Northern California, Tim Hunter's controversial indie addresses the growing alienation and moral vacancy among youths growing up in drug-oriented and media-saturated society; Keanu Reeves is perfectly cast.
