Wanted to vote turquoise :(

Wil probly end up voting purple. I wore a lot of purple when I was the town mentalist aged 16.

I think that from this^ to the picture of the iPhone is the single most annoying run I've ever seen someone make on ILX. How do you do it?

tuppence b. bag (roxymuzak), Saturday, 25 April 2009 20:23 (fifteen years ago) link

The time stamps give the whole game away.

Sorry, though. Of course I was talking a pile of shit every step of the way. I wonder if I do it just to clear away cobwebs. Like when you have really weird dreams about bratwurst and Ed Harris and shit.

tits akimbo (kenan), Saturday, 25 April 2009 20:36 (fifteen years ago) link

You just sounded so angry over colors! The internet is strange, though.

tuppence b. bag (roxymuzak), Saturday, 25 April 2009 20:38 (fifteen years ago) link

Heavens no, I'm not ANGRY over colors. Piss-taking, sure.

tits akimbo (kenan), Saturday, 25 April 2009 20:39 (fifteen years ago) link

I have prejudices against blue. In fact I have a desktop background that I put up sometimes so I don't get all panty-twisted over everyone wanting everything to be blue all the time. It says, "Blue is not the enemy."

tuppence b. bag (roxymuzak), Saturday, 25 April 2009 20:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Never at night.

tits akimbo (kenan), Saturday, 25 April 2009 20:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Actually... I think I DO hate blue sky. Or at least I fear it, because that's where sun comes from. Somewhere there's a picture of 14-yr-old me at the beach in a turtleneck.

Y'know it's funny on the same tip I adore blue and especially sky and sea blue but could never bring myself to vote for it because it's also the colour of the Tories.

purple is the colour of depression. no wonder i knit so many things in that colour until my husband demanded i stop using purply yarn. hah

is it the color of depression?

becuz i've come to understand that my inner color is a deep smoky purple

Red. Burnt orange. Burnt red. Mostly red.

Red does something funny to me, especially if it's dancing about somewhere near a smokey sky blue.

orange is a good food color. I remember going through a phase in high school when all I wanted was orange food.

also, the color orange is basically proof god doesn't exist.

are you saying that Cheetohs are not the work of a higher power?

free jazz and mumia (sarahel), Friday, 31 July 2009 00:16 (fourteen years ago) link

okay there can be one exception to the rule

iatee, Friday, 31 July 2009 00:18 (fourteen years ago) link

7-11 has their own generic cheetohs now ... they're pretty awesome. I've tried just about every organic yuppie cheese puff variety and they just don't compare to the glory of cheetohs.

free jazz and mumia (sarahel), Friday, 31 July 2009 00:20 (fourteen years ago) link

have you tried these:

???

iatee, Friday, 31 July 2009 00:21 (fourteen years ago) link

I'm not so big on the spicy ones. The Barbara's ones are the best I've had so far that aren't real cheetohs, except for the 7-11 ones, which are almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

free jazz and mumia (sarahel), Friday, 31 July 2009 00:24 (fourteen years ago) link

omg the spicy ones are so good

i believe it's because blue and green are the most comforting or reassuring colors to see, but i could be wrong.

only 2 for yellow (vs. 29 for blue), that's just sad

CaptainLorax, Saturday, 1 August 2009 03:04 (fourteen years ago) link

five years pass...

I've been into orange lately. Yellow is very interesting to me conceptually. It looks so different from red and green! Whereas I can grasp cyan as a mix of green and blue, and purple as a mix of red and blue.

1992 ball boy (Karl Malone), Monday, 6 July 2015 21:00 (eight years ago) link

I can grasp cyan as a mix of green and blue

I still can't grasp additive colors on an intuitive level, probably because I had 'green = yellow + blue' drilled into my head by 10+ years of grade school art teachers (and a school play about red blue & yellow working together as a team). I wonder if I would benefit from deprogramming.
