I do, according to both google maps and metropolitan-area-pop. definitions. Not so much according to do people in other countries know the name of my city definition.

OK I live in the 25th largest metro area in the US apparently, but I voted no b/c of the original topic of the poll - that is, it doesn't really have much of an independent film/arts scene. But I guess by my definition there's only like 4 major US cities.

NYC MSA includes parts of four states, including where all the sports teams are located and where one of the members of Metro Area is from

in DC we don't count the Nationals as a major league franchise but we do count Obama as one.
