The level of contestant looks like the most mediocre ever. Even the villain candidates are a low-rent version of Alyssa Edwards and Josh McKinley's love child.

I was wrong about the villains, it looks like we're getting a new one every episode. What an unlikable cast this season.

A+ to the judges for trolling Korina by giving the win to Sandhya's horrible look.

Speaking of Korina, I loved how she was flabbergasted that the unconventional materials challenge comes so early in the competition.

I like Amanda personality wise, but she's just so...idk. it's like her personality disguises the fact that she is not good and all her clothes end up looking like a 90's teen cosmo photoshoot

^^ totally, of the three designers they polled fans, she's easily the most likable, but Alexander Pope was the one with the best designs.

Never fails: the designer I find the cutest is always terrible. However, I wish that one of the two skinny white guys with shaved temples got sent home, because apparently I can't tell them apart.

angela, the gal that got sent home...i felt horrible for her from day 1.

the judges love giving their quippy commentaries on all the designs but with her it was like watching her get whipped.

like she's annoying & i didnt see her staying even as long as she did but when she says so quietly at the end "heidi said i was a good designer" it was like oh fuck

Yeah like Tim said, she was absolutely not cut out for a narcissism-incubating tv show like this. It was realllly uncomfortable seeing her realize how out of place she was -- not a judgment on her skills, but just her temperament.

Surviving Blue Hair: she's one crying parent away from becoming the female Neck Tattoo, but she was robbed this challenge.

The reaction shots were so priceless! Zac aghast at Mitchell's runway! The three bottom models during the up-close inspection like they were going to the principal's office for crimes against fashion! Kini getting robbed two challenges in a row!

During the eliminations, when Mitchell and then Kristine get aufed, I actually thought Korina Dimples would make it 3 for 3.

I was getting REALLY bored with this season, but the disasters upped the watchability an order of magnitude.

I'm still digging Fade because DEUTSCH, and I'm hoping Emily Bluehair is a finale contender too.

Also, I understand the attention that the producers are making the judges give to Amanda, but COME ON, no way she should've been one of the top 3 this or last week.

Some of Tim Gunn's jackets this season have had very O_o shoulders.

I thought the top/bottom teams were exactly reversed.

Looks like Kini is going to get the bitter bridesmaid villain edit now.

I like how Korina basically admitted that she's not creative.

Also the way the non-Dita guest judge kept putting an extra syllable after every sentence.

Sandyha is maybe 1 or 2 eps away from losertown usa. Wheels are falling off.

Fade is awesome, and I dig Emily for making Lydia from Beetlejuice a wedding dress. Though too goth for Nina might be a bridge too far lol

She's about 10 years past her prime celebrityhood and she's also botoxed her face into mannequin state so she's now complete expressionless.

as a native I'm happy to see any indians make it anywhere, but Korina came in overly confident and smug. nice tattoos though. her mouth reminds me of the joker.

i feel like this show is just trolling me now. Tell me I wasn't imagining that nina said Amanda's could be an 'Instagram Moment'. TELL ME THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

Amanda's looked like Catwoman ran through some old woman's bedroom and got tangled up in her negligee. It was fucking stupid, I don't get it and I have no idea why the judges keep falling over themselves over her.

Korina's material was gross. tbh I thought that on the runway her look didn't really showcase the necklace that well at all because a) the dress and the necklace were the same color, and b) all you could see was the damn jacket. It wasn't in keeping with the challenge. The dress looked fine without the jacket and up close it looked good with the necklace but the Chopard lady said she would put Sean's on the cover of the catalog! Isn't that what the challenge is about? I don't get it.

I mean, I think Sean's kind of a passive agressive weasel, and the dress overall was kind of expected but it was really beautifully made and did pretty much everything they asked for IN A DAY.

I have no idea why Kini didn't just rework the bodice of that dress when the cups wouldn't work...and neoprene. really dude. cmon.

and why do they keep doing 1-day red carpet/evening wear challenges. They're never going to get anything good out of those designers for something like that until they get at least 2 days.

The producers are probably making the judges plotz over Amanda, I was kind of loling at Nina's noncommittal praise, seeing how long she could go without offering an actual critical opinion and basically having to lie.

The producers also probably have longer-term plans for Korina Dimples -- they make troll her for the beginning of the season before making her an outright punching bag before she gets to redeem herself. I actually didn't hate the jacket, but goddamn I was surprised the judges only mentioned how heavy it looked when they were able to see it up close.

If this were a real design competition, they'd be giving them multiple days for more of these challenges, but I think the producers are hooked on the adrenaline and ~tearz~ and mad rushes at the end because EXCITING! TV needs beat out design needs.

I was thinking it was kind of gauche of Tim last episode to say to Char that he would've saved her if this were later in the season -- like, "Gee, thanks Tim, rmde" -- but good on him to admit the mistake. All the same, he seems to use his save for designers who seem well-liked in the workroom rather than designers who've shown a positive track record (thought maybe that's the point -- they need to find their pace before they start finding success).

And lol Zac was wearing boots with a heel this time.

I really don't mind Amanda/think she's pretty good! I am FLABBERGASTED that they kept whats his name around AGAIN

Alexander is p terrible

I just felt embarrassed for him; it seems particularly cruel to keep him around at this point when he clearly will not come close to winning

Ok now that Char is at Fashion Week, the judges can stop pretending thet love her stuff, right?

the last 9 designers or something go to fashion week anyway, so the whole thing seems kind of pointless (ie: Korina showed at Fashion Week. And everyone shows anonymously).

amanda's collection was p gross imo

I didn't like Amanda's collection at all, either. Ugh.
I loved Sean's collection, and I'm glad he won, but then, I love fringe, and I love orange, and I love cute young boys with accents so there ya go.
His final look (the long orange dress) was just beautiful.
There were things in both Kini's and Char's collections that I liked very much and that I would wear.

E! is showing a marathon of Season 4 today, apparently as a tie-in to their upcoming new series "House of DVF"!!!!!!

i liked kini's but it wasn't enough. i wish it was more fanciful & fashiony, he's SO good., sean's was p amaze tho, that orange dress was a showstopper.

amanda's even looked poorly made, all the puckering with that color blocking ... and the color choices were just yuk

char's was good but I felt bad for her, that they dragged her all the way tp that stage only to tell her what we already knew, that she's not ready for primetime. it felt kinda cruel imo
but she is p boss as a person & i love her style

i am just annoyed that the quality of the collections seems to dwindle each year

they've pushed out almost any possible chance for high fashion/major creativity to show it's head now, like jay or siriano would have been sent home by ep 6

Seriously?? Are they just bringing back this season's cast and calling them All-Stars? I'm more excited for the Reunion.

My favorite part of this season was Tim Gunn and Kini standing in front of the Coliseum and Tim saying "So, how inspiring is this??" and Kini in flatly responding in complete monotone with "Oh my gosh, it's so inspiring."

idk, aside from Sanijay and Dmitry there's not really anyone who I'm like 'oh I can't wait to see what they make', and for the most part they're kind of trotting out the designs they're all expected to make

i really liked the season from a few years back where sean won. also he was extremely cute and i used to see him at the grocery store all the time. the season where ashley won was pretty good too even if her win felt a little fake.

i caught one episode of this most recent season tho and i didn't like it at all. the episodes are so fuckin long now which is cool when the judges get closer looks at the garments but very bad when it means that there's 10 mins of unnecessary product placement.

the product placement is def out of hand the last couple of years

my friends were all 'oh this season is soooo much better than last year' and i bailed on last year halfway through so I figured ok i'll check it out
but it doesn't seem much better? it's so shitty now

maybe I'm just a crabby old grandma now but I think back to season 1 with Jay's incredible knitwear and i just think, every single contestant now would cry actual tears if they were asked to create something even remotely approaching what he did

everyone's so fucking neon and precious and irritating. I can't think of the last time I actually LIKED someone on this show

yeah the switch to bunim murray led to the cast being a lot more real world like in their "quirks"
