i think there is so much bad, rock hard, off-tasting, cold melon served in sad-looking cellophane-wrapped fruit salad plates out in there in the world that make people think melon is bad. i have even been mistaken at times in my life

honeydew does not even taste like anything. i'm always bummed when it and cantaloupe show up in fruit assortments.

otm, good honeydew is great but like 85% of the honeydew i've had access to has been underripe and rock hard/tasteless
