As a general rule, adults can catch the same diseases that infants/children/teens can. That being said, often children are more susceptible to diseases due to physiology (i.e. eustachian tubes are tiny compared to adults so babies and kids get a lot more ear infections) and they are exposed to a lot more diseases (due to being in close quarters with other kids at school - many of whom are also not so great at hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, etc.).
