I'm convinced that will happen now.

The dragons got smaller and smaller over the decades, until the last dragon was the size of a cat when it died. But it wasn't just that House Targaryen had stunted the growth of the world's greatest weapon. The Dragonpit was also where many dragons were killed by an angry mob during an infamous event known as the Storming of the Dragonpit.

They have a bunch of big dragon skulls under the palace (or is it the Red Keep?) as we saw a few times (and as is referred to even in the redesignef title sequence which may be a big hint too) but reanimating decapitated dragons might not be that useful. Any intact ones even cat sized yes of course.
― nashwan, Friday, 26 April 2019 13:40 (five years ago) link
would you rather fight one disembodied zombie dragon head or a dozen cat-sized zombie dragons
― mh, Friday, 26 April 2019 14:31 (five years ago) link
Definitely one disembodied head
― these are not all of the possible side effects (Karl Malone), Friday, 26 April 2019 15:50 (five years ago) link
I wouldn’t want to fight 12 normal cats, let alone dragon cats. A disembodied head, I will take that on regardless of species
What if it can levitate and breathe fire
― valet doberman (Jon not Jon), Friday, 26 April 2019 16:12 (five years ago) link
It's just a skull so can only bite.
― nashwan, Friday, 26 April 2019 16:13 (five years ago) link
Jon's following my line of thinking here. Levitating large skull could maybe blast more fire
― mh, Friday, 26 April 2019 16:36 (five years ago) link
presumably we'll get dead Ned wearing an appropriately sized dragon head, also Robb zombie with direwolf head
― mick signals, Friday, 26 April 2019 16:44 (five years ago) link
more human than direwolf tho

― sarahell, Monday, 29 April 2019 03:10 (five years ago) link
I don’t think the manichean zombie battle counts as “blew its wad” - this show has hardly ever been about its exotics. Now we can go back to scenes set during the daytime and having more than one thing to talk about

You are maybe wrong. They were extra deliberate about showing when speaking roles got killed, as usual. I think they want us to be worried about her.
― El Tomboto, Monday, 29 April 2019 03:37 (five years ago) link
Hooray three more episodes of Cersei sipping wine while Euron leers over her shoulder. >:(
If you build up an ancient supernatural threat over the course of a show you have to save that for last, or next to last, unless you have something better up your sleeve. The very first episode back in Season 1 opened with a white walker horror sequence, after all.

Rewound and rewatched, unclear if woman hauled off by her feet at 1.03 is gilly or not? Obvs you are right that would be a severely ignominious send off so i suppose its unlikely.Gotta admit that i was really hoping night king kills everyone and this becomes cersei vs night king battle royale. Not too excited to see this play out as is.

I didn’t get why, once they came out of hiding, the dragons weren’t just frying shit constantly. Also seeing the night king strutting around all casual just felt wrong; his mannerisms made me imagine a high school coach on a mythical 80s sitcom who calls everyone “guy” and was played by character actor James Rebhornhttps://c.o0bg.com/rf/image_960w/Boston/2011-2020/2014/03/24/BostonGlobe.com/Obits/Images/rebby.jpg

Also wanna point out that danys “think i’ll just park this dragon in a field of undead” strategy was the dumbest shit move in an episode packed with dumb shit moves

Yeah I’m unsure of the fate of Dragon #2, seems like a dumb thing to have Jon become a dragon rider just so he can...almost kill the wight-dragon.
Then again, the post-books era of this show has been full of dumb things
