I walk by the space that was his apartment in Shamus almost every day, as well as the pool hall where he hung out - and in front of which he was abducted - in the film (it's no longer a pool hall)

Sharky's Machine is legit, straight up excellent. it's recently had a fancy Blu Ray reissue and seems to have developed a proper cult following over the years. Ebert said "..it reminds us that there is a fine actor within the star". amen.

W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings was kind of terrible but I feel like I should vote for it for some strange reason, maybe the fact that I remembered it at all.

xxp it's a very good looking movie aye, has that glorious late 70s v early 80s thing going on. lots of shots of the big-city-that's-a-bit-glamorous-but-a-bit-gritty kinda.

Henry Silva is seriously scary in Sharky's Machine.

Was hoping 'Malone' would be a Beckett adaptation, but then remembered it's Murphy that is just the name.
