Yeah, definitely seen Gator too, probably a couple of others. Navajo Joe has great music (by Morricone).

I walk by the space that was his apartment in Shamus almost every day, as well as the pool hall where he hung out - and in front of which he was abducted - in the film (it's no longer a pool hall)

Sharky's Machine is legit, straight up excellent. it's recently had a fancy Blu Ray reissue and seems to have developed a proper cult following over the years. Ebert said "..it reminds us that there is a fine actor within the star". amen.

W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings was kind of terrible but I feel like I should vote for it for some strange reason, maybe the fact that I remembered it at all.

Sharky's Machine is good for shots of downtown Atlanta circa 1980, I'm told

Need to see Sharky's Machine. Is that the movie Archer is obsessed with?

xxp it's a very good looking movie aye, has that glorious late 70s v early 80s thing going on. lots of shots of the big-city-that's-a-bit-glamorous-but-a-bit-gritty kinda.

Henry Silva is seriously scary in Sharky's Machine.

Was hoping 'Malone' would be a Beckett adaptation, but then remembered it's Murphy that is just the name.

Actually I think I want to see all these movies.

And Gator. That's the one Archer loved.

His character on Evening Shade should have been named Evening Shade.

one year passes...

RIP.

He did an appearance before Deliverance earlier this year in NYC...

I'm quite fond of a line reading he does in Semi-Tough that I cannot post on this board in 2018.

Wonder if he completed his role in the new Tarantino? (he was playing George Spahn)

Probably gonna do a new career-spanning poll in a bit. A lot of editing will be required.
