do you vote with a sock puppet to increase the number of votes your choice gets?

if this is actually a thing that happens it's one of the lamest ilx things I've ever heard of

ive been mildly interested in creating a sock for some time but i mostly post from home or work so i figure mods could look up IP in two seconds and figure it out

but no the point of a sock to increase votes is dumb there are way more fun things to do w/ a sock

if a person suffers from multiple personality disorder and each personality independently creates an ILX login, would that count as one ilxor with multiple sock puppets or as multiple ilxors - from a clinical perspective, I mean?

there could potentially be 50% conservatives with progressive sock puppets

I am kind of amused by how violently I'm against this, given how bad I hated polls when they were our newest thing. like, vote wrong as you must, support sandwich over pizza if you must, but you get one vote and one vote only you monster

of course i register multiple fake accounts to vote in polls. i register as many as it takes. it's a lot of work, but once you see your perfect choice at #1 with a comfortable margin and you've lobbed some final references to lurkers to throw everyone off your scent, it's so worth it

usually zero votes just means it's no one's favorite, it could still be everyone's #2 pick
