Apparently people, when they are first exposed to the web, then to *fly* all over the web. Then after a couple of weeks/months stick to the same couple of sites. Being contrary, I thought this was completely bollox. But when I checjed my bookmarks and history page, I discovered they are right.

I tried to get "silver surfers" into a column I was doing for New Media Age but I don't think they kept it in boo hiss.

Yes people do still call them 'surfers' because it's shorter than 'Internet users'.
