(to be honest, I'm not even sure what orange IS. I've had arguments about whether something is orange or red. This is not a color at all, really.)

Gothin out and going with black which I've been a staunch fan of since my early years. When I was a kid I loved the way black looked with blue and purple. I used to put my black crayon between the blue and purple ones in my crayon box. I was kind of OCD about it. Hurray bruises?

Orange and black are so awesome together, it's a pity that they mean "Halloween" to so many.

Like how red and green together mean Christmas. Wherefore? Since when? I've been bitter about this issue since 2nd grade, when the "art" teacher told me that my little design was shit since it was red and green, and that's only for Christmas. I don't agree with that even on the tree. Trees should have white lights. White ribbons are much snazzier than red ribbons, on gifts or on wreaths. Red is so light in this shit.

In 1st grade I told my teacher that coloring was a waste of time. She brought it up at one of those parent teacher things, and was like, yeah, it's a waste of time. Yellow forever, the most misunderstood color.

No, most of mine are that off-white bumpy color, but I do have a nice display wall in the bedroom that's bright red, and I'm kind of proud of it.

I have prejudices against blue. In fact I have a desktop background that I put up sometimes so I don't get all panty-twisted over everyone wanting everything to be blue all the time. It says, "Blue is not the enemy."

okay there can be one exception to the rule

7-11 has their own generic cheetohs now ... they're pretty awesome. I've tried just about every organic yuppie cheese puff variety and they just don't compare to the glory of cheetohs.

I'm not so big on the spicy ones. The Barbara's ones are the best I've had so far that aren't real cheetohs, except for the 7-11 ones, which are almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

I've been into orange lately. Yellow is very interesting to me conceptually. It looks so different from red and green! Whereas I can grasp cyan as a mix of green and blue, and purple as a mix of red and blue.

I think orange and yellow are my favorite colors tbh. They are right now at least.

I still can't grasp additive colors on an intuitive level, probably because I had 'green = yellow + blue' drilled into my head by 10+ years of grade school art teachers (and a school play about red blue & yellow working together as a team). I wonder if I would benefit from deprogramming.
