RIP Brittany Murphy

TMZ says so:

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.

She was 32.

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.

We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."

She was in Freeway with Reese early on, that's where I first noticed her (I didn't see Clueless until years after the fact).

Also, it is freaking me out a little to hear about another 32-year-old dying from cardiac arrest. I should take better care of myself...

I put on CLUELESS tonight, expecting to have a whole lot of fun--and for the most part i did--but the first time Brittany appeared on the screen, I teared up.

I don't think her sweetness was an (intentional) front (hiding sadness) really. But I always got the vibe she was a little kookoo. Y'know, a bit "wooooo" and let's pop some pills so that I calm down because wahey I am about to go on a mental rollercoaster.

In that case, I had to look it up: Heather Graham.

I have to say that even though I've seen Clueless, Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile and Sin City, I didn't remember the same actor was in all of them. (Clueless is the only one of those I've rewatched since it came out, though.) It's sad to die so young anyway, so RIP.

I'm very sorry she's dead, and yes, I'm not afraid to parade my basic ignorance of her underwhelming resume.

And to think that only the night before she died she was raving to friends about yours.

It occurred to me this morning that the reason I am sort of obsessed with the Brittany Murphy death story is that she = Laura Fairlie, her gross husband = Sir Percival Glyde

He looks more like Count Fosco, but maybe there's a Fosco character we're not seeing. Also not sure who the Marian is, but whatever. CLOSE ENOUGH.

Maybe Brittany is actually imprisoned in a mental hospital somewhere and this other girl is the one who died and that's the reason BMurph's weight seemed to fluctuate so greatly -- she has a secret twin!

Brittany Murphy's friends have come forward to talk about the "creepy" relationship building between Murphy's widowed husband Simon Monjack and her mother Sharon.

The duo is living together while writing a tell-all book on Brittany Murphy's life. There is heavy speculation that more is going on in the house than just book writing. Monjack has disparaged any such claims. The two are also having a hard time shopping their book, as many publishers have passed on the offer.

"Sadly, unless that book reveals some pretty salacious stuff -- which I doubt they have, except for eating-disorder and prescription-drug stuff -- it's not enough to sell many books,'' one of Brittany's longtime professional associates says.
