Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys was left a funny shade of pink after a verbal attack on Arsenal's Theo Walcott was heard during an online streaming of Tuesday's Champions League coverage. The 52-year-old face of Sky's football coverage thought his microphone was turned off when he launched a stinging attack on the Gunners' fledgling forward, and his choice of footwear.
At one point when Walcott, who made Arsenal's only goal in a 4-1 mauling at the Nou Camp, went down under a challenge, Keys was heard screaming, 'Get up, you stupid little boy'.
He then added: 'You've been s***e, son, in your daft pink boots - absolute rubbish.'
Keys could first be heard asking those with him in the studio who was responsible for breaking wind.
Sitting alongside twice European Cup winner Ruud Gullit, and Graeme Souness, Keys said: 'Who's farted? It's not me.'
Keys has previous, too. In 2007 during a Scotland match in the Faroe Islands, the commentator was heard on air to say: 'Silly ground, stupid game, f*** off.'
On Wednesday a Sky spokesman said: 'There were no technical issues with the audio on the night.'
