And, by the same token, whenever either Hector Lavoe or Benny Moré screams "Diablo!" although no doubt plenty of others said it as well.

I like when bands shout 1 2 3 4 in the MIDDLE of a song (Local H does it a few times), giving us some advance notice that cool shit is gonna happen.
best 1234 in the history of recorded sound? right here. green's "better way."

"She's About a Mover" has gotta be "Augie" rather than "honky."

In some other Pretenders song (live cut maybe?), Chrissie eggs on the band with a sly "Girls?..."
yep, live version of "precious," she says, "are you ready girls?" and then the shit just explodes.

Wilbert Harrison in "Kansas City": "Aw, but ya know it -- yeah, mercy!"
I've developed a minor fixation with this Wilbert Harrison B-side. What the heck does he yell? (The second one sounds like "Mosquito Legs!!" but no idea about the first. "Ahh Conchy-toochee?")

some mc5 song("high school"?) : "Okay kids, let's ROCK this town/joint!"

It's not on the studio version (or if it is, I've never been able to hear it), but in live versions of "Super Bad" James says to saxophonist Robert McCullough, "Blow me some Trane!"

Eddie Vedder saying "make me cry, baby" [I think] right before the solo in "Yellow Ledbetter."

"CC pick up that guitar and talk to me!"-Poison
Tom Petty's "HEY!" before the solo in "Even the Losers" is a pretty euphoric moment.

In "The Cover of the Rolling Stone" when Dr. Hook yells out "ROCK AND ROLLLLLLL!!!!!"... and you hear this atrocious out-of-tune electric guitar solo by a guy that clearly can't play the guitar to save his life and at the end Dr.'s like "Aw man, that's beautiful."

In the best Archers of Loaf song, "Freezing Point," Eric quite succinctly barks, "Guitar!" and out comes the solo...

A slight shame-like, but it's oddly thrilling when the vocalist announces "Drums" just before the drums kick in in Richard X's 'Rock Jacket'
