I still want in on this via any means. One of the lucky 14 can email me and let me know anything I need to do. This looks amazing.

matt2 (matt2), Tuesday, 21 June 2005 14:59 (eighteen years ago) link

Hopefully I can trick someone into copying them for me!!

pete baumann, Tuesday, 21 June 2005 15:02 (eighteen years ago) link

I sent you a sample cover design a couple of weeks ago! I'll re-send, maybe it got caught in a spam filter or something. I need to stop mentioning viagra bestiality in my subject lines.

Petroski (petroski), Tuesday, 21 June 2005 21:29 (eighteen years ago) link

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 August 2005 13:29 (eighteen years ago) link

It's nearly done Ned honest, I'm waiting for a Curiosa show from last year that's supposed to be brilliant for those last few tracks...!

mzui (mzui), Sunday, 7 August 2005 15:16 (eighteen years ago) link

Rah! But but but could you post the tracklisting from number three if that's settled?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 August 2005 15:22 (eighteen years ago) link

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 7 August 2005 15:52 (eighteen years ago) link

Okay folks, I'm waiting for one last item (a video of The Cure Play Out) from E-Bay and then we will be ready to duplicate and get the artwork finalised. I will be contacting all you peeps by email at the end of next week. Just thought I'd better post cause it's been ages and I apologise.

mzui (mzui), Saturday, 13 August 2005 13:52 (eighteen years ago) link

No worries! Rah!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 13 August 2005 13:55 (eighteen years ago) link

I'm trying desperately to locate some lossless versions of the new 3 piece Cure live stuff but it's proving mightily elusive inna non-mp3 state.

mzui (mzui), Saturday, 13 August 2005 13:59 (eighteen years ago) link

I kiss you.

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Saturday, 13 August 2005 15:16 (eighteen years ago) link

Shouldn't that be "I kiss you kiss you kiss you"

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 13 August 2005 18:00 (eighteen years ago) link

OH OH Oh, oh please contact me by email
I could relay some copies if need be...

slightly off-topic, but has anyone managed a successful bootleg of "The Blood" and Justin Timberlake's "Like I Love You"?

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Friday, 19 August 2005 06:20 (eighteen years ago) link

I'm psyched to see that they're playing Primary again. Never worked with a 5-piece IMHO, so I'm intrigued to hear how it sounds now.

Baaderonixx on a long black leash (Fabfunk), Friday, 19 August 2005 06:41 (eighteen years ago) link

"The Baby Screams"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That totally makes up for yet another round of "Push"!

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 August 2005 11:49 (eighteen years ago) link

Yeah, let's have that one on the set.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 19 August 2005 11:51 (eighteen years ago) link

And "At Night" too!

Baaderonixx on a long black leash (Fabfunk), Friday, 19 August 2005 12:01 (eighteen years ago) link

"At Night" is so ridiculously brilliant.

Actually, what would be totally brilliant would be a ten-minute long version of "Lost" that flowed into a ten-minute long version of "The Kiss".

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 August 2005 12:03 (eighteen years ago) link

1. Onimo
2. Ned
3. Kit Brash
4. Joshua Allen
5. Dr C
6. Petrowski
7. Dan Perry
8. Flowersdie
9. Teeny
10. Fortunate Hazel
11. Ian Reese Moraine
12. Kyle
13. Baader
14. kephm
15. Charlie No4

You've all been mailed, Flowersdie your mail has bounced back so please get in touch, I've added Kephm and Charlie to the list because I am a superstitious fool.

At Night, The Baby Screams & Primary gotcha thanks!

mzui (mzui), Friday, 19 August 2005 12:58 (eighteen years ago) link

Just replied! a BIG THANK YOU to you, Sir!

Baaderonixx on a long black leash (Fabfunk), Friday, 19 August 2005 13:01 (eighteen years ago) link

Rah!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 19 August 2005 13:03 (eighteen years ago) link

HOO RAH

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 August 2005 13:29 (eighteen years ago) link

If I could get a copy from someone I would be so happy. Will send extra blanks CD-Rs, even, or copy for someone else.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Friday, 19 August 2005 14:22 (eighteen years ago) link

Yes, we'll develop a tree-like system to take over the world shortly.

Baaderonixx on a long black leash (Fabfunk), Friday, 19 August 2005 14:24 (eighteen years ago) link

YAY

teeny (teeny), Friday, 19 August 2005 14:40 (eighteen years ago) link

Now let's have that tracklisting. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 19 August 2005 14:41 (eighteen years ago) link

Patience, I'm still tweaking here and there.

mzui (mzui), Friday, 19 August 2005 15:09 (eighteen years ago) link

PUT DOWN THE DRUGS AND GIVE US OUR TRACKLISTING

(heh)

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 August 2005 15:10 (eighteen years ago) link

for instance I've just uncovered an awesomely trippy version of Shake Dog Shake from a gig in London 97 with what sounds like a siter or drobey keyboard things going on, really odd. Also a version of Close To Me (closer mix) but LIVE from the same gig, first time played too, sounds great!

mzui (mzui), Friday, 19 August 2005 15:26 (eighteen years ago) link

sitar......droney...film at eleven.

mzui (mzui), Friday, 19 August 2005 15:27 (eighteen years ago) link

can i get in on this?
i'll happily find someway to be helpful cause this is some damned fine buisiness

bb (bbrz), Friday, 19 August 2005 15:34 (eighteen years ago) link

Wish I could find that recording I had of their 11/85 Radio City show. I was there. It was magic. I am old.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Friday, 19 August 2005 15:40 (eighteen years ago) link

Ditto on the YAY

kephm (kephm), Friday, 19 August 2005 17:27 (eighteen years ago) link

2. Fire In Cairo (acoustic) - Birmingham 89
3. A Strange Day - Glastonbury 90
4. Lullaby - Glastonbury 90
5. Disintegration - Glastonbury 90
6. The Big Hand - London Secret Gig 91
7. Harold & Joe - Jonathan Ross Show London 91
8. Doing The Unstuck - London 92
9. Wendy Time - London 92
10. Friday I'm In Love - London 92
11. Three Imaginary Boys - London 92
12. Want - Manchester 96
13. Trap - Manchester 96
14. Shiver & Shake - Manchester 96
15. Bare - Manchester 96
16. Shake Dog Shake - London 97
17. Wrong Number - London 97

I've avoided too much Disintegration/Wish material here, you all have Entreat and Show right? But are we fans of Wrong Number? I've missed off Club America, Mint Car, The 13th could this be a mistake, opinions needed thx.

mzui (mzui), Sunday, 21 August 2005 14:13 (eighteen years ago) link

Hmmmm, nice and thank you. Leaving off "Mint Car" was VERY VERY wise. And "Wrong Number" will be cool to hear live -- I admit I would love to hear a live "The 13th."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 22 August 2005 03:31 (eighteen years ago) link

yes a live 13th is ESSENTIAL! a live Club America would be good if there's a particularly great version, but don't go sacrificing Harold & Joe or Wendy Time y'know? and I hope we are all fans of Wrong Number, yes.

kit brash (kit brash), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 03:49 (eighteen years ago) link

Okay lovelies,
I'm still missing details for:

Dr C
Petrowski
Flowersdie
Fortunate Hazel
Ian Reese Moraine

There's no mad hurry but it would be nice to have the addresses ready.

I'll squeeze a 13th in there too.

mzui (mzui), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 07:32 (eighteen years ago) link

mzui said they'd be rolling out slowly as time and finances allow

Yes, but it would be nice if Ned and Bee could have held off on making copies for non-contributing people until the original list had gotten theirs.

kit brash (kit brash), Saturday, 18 March 2006 02:34 (eighteen years ago) link

I can understand your frustration. Things came up all the time so it still took about a month for me to get anything done anyways. I felt bad to these people that I promised because it took that long.

If there is anything I can do to help get this out to people e-mail me at the address below so we can work out something, if there is still a problem.

BeeOK (boo radley), Saturday, 18 March 2006 09:54 (eighteen years ago) link

Holy awesomeness. (Thanks for the burn, Ned)

remy (x Jeremy), Tuesday, 21 March 2006 00:05 (eighteen years ago) link

Yez welcome. (I should note that if I knew the angst this was all going to cause I would have refrained from burning for other folk for a bit! I'd volunteer to get them to those still in need but since I've no DVD burner Bee and Onimo are probably better candidates in the end.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 21 March 2006 00:48 (eighteen years ago) link

Offer is still open because of these problems...

BeeOK (boo radley), Tuesday, 21 March 2006 09:54 (eighteen years ago) link

So is it over then for us, the lost tribe of the first generation?

Le Baaderonixx de Benedict Canyon (baaderonixx), Friday, 31 March 2006 08:43 (eighteen years ago) link

two weeks pass...
Is everyone happy?

BeeOK (boo radley), Wednesday, 19 April 2006 06:02 (eighteen years ago) link

NO

kit brash (kit brash), Wednesday, 19 April 2006 06:47 (eighteen years ago) link

Bee, you may be the patron saint of all this yet.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 April 2006 17:45 (eighteen years ago) link

is there a way to get the tracklisting?

kephm (kephm), Wednesday, 19 April 2006 18:01 (eighteen years ago) link

It's way upthread.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 April 2006 18:33 (eighteen years ago) link

Still nothing :(

Le Baaderonixx de Benedict Canyon (baaderonixx), Wednesday, 26 April 2006 07:20 (eighteen years ago) link

three months pass...
a distant pipe dream...

Baaderonixx immer wieder (baaderonixx), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 12:25 (seventeen years ago) link

Wait, who else never got a copy, then?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 13:04 (seventeen years ago) link

I had hoped for a kind soul to run me off a copy at some point. I can pay for shipping and all that.

BlastsOfStatic (BlastsofStatic), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 13:28 (seventeen years ago) link

I can make copies. I think I offered somewhere for UK people to contact me to obtain one. If anyone further afield is having trouble I can always send a copy though it would obviously be better if someone nearer offered.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 13:58 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm in Belgium, so if anyone around these shores is willing to spread the love...

Baaderonixx immer wieder (baaderonixx), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 14:01 (seventeen years ago) link

I never got one.

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 14:12 (seventeen years ago) link

Yeah, I'm in the States (Boston), but I'll cover the cost from wherever. It's not like I can go out to Ye Olde Recorde Shoppe and find this stuff, so it's worth it.

BlastsOfStatic (BlastsofStatic), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 15:41 (seventeen years ago) link

I never got one.

! :-(

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 16:19 (seventeen years ago) link

BOS: Email me.

Jesus Dan (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 26 July 2006 16:22 (seventeen years ago) link

I sent out four copies of this and gave Ned an additional five DVD's. So a bunch of ILMers got it but if not you can still get a hold fo me, email below.

BeeOK (boo radley), Thursday, 27 July 2006 04:27 (seventeen years ago) link

Yeah, the DVDs were sent out along with burned sets to folks hither and yon, so I know it should be easily circulating...I have stumbled across an extra DVD just now, and so I'd be willing to burn off one more copy of the full set to go with that. Otherwise this is all best handled by people who can burn both CDs and DVDs.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 27 July 2006 04:41 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm still waiting too, as my frequent plaintive howling upthread has indicated. BRING DVD TO SYDNEY NED
