My lingering 1978-1982 Olivia Newton-John crush makes this a seemingly obvious choice, but c'mon, Bay City Rollers.

Gordon Honeycombe was in a dream I had last night... I need help and fast.

it's a visitation!
One of Honeycombe's best-known books is the horror novel Neither the Sea Nor the Sand. Early in his career, Honeycombe wrote two horror novels, described by horror historian Stefan R Dziemianowicz as "atmospheric modern gothics whose rugged natural northern English settings resonate with their unsparing supernatural horrors." [2] The first and best-known of these works is Neither the Sea Nor the Sand, focusing on a woman whose dead lover returns to life. [2] [3] It was followed by Dragon Under the Hill, where a history professor in Northumberland finds himself re-enacting a tragedy that took place in the Viking era. [2] Dziemianowicz noted that since Honeycombe's books were published before the horror boom of the 1970s, they have been "greatly overlooked as a result".

Almost said Muriel Gray, but it was Muriel Young who was behind all these series showcasing one band or artist - Arrows was another one.

I don't know about them, but certainly The Arrows, who had one hit at that time. And had one more, I believe. (xposts)
