Another thought is lovely but World of Echo is the keeper.
btw anyone know anything about Tiger Stripes by Felix? I have the 12 and it says prod by Nicky Siano but...its Russell for sure, isn't it?

i have his "Instrumentals" 12" and it wasn't at all what i was thinking it was going to be like after hearing his genius tracks on Disco (Not Disco)
where else is it possible to hear his music?

world of echo is a solo cello/vocal record but its swathed in deep dubby fx. it sounds like the more abstract stuff on Another Thought. Some of the tunes are solo reworkings of his dance stuff (lets go Swimming, Wax the Van). It's f**king beautiful.
hey! I have a spare copy of Another Thought for a good home...

arthur is about the only person in music who i would call a hero of mine - i love everything he has done. i have to say that i much prefer 'another thought' to 'world of echo' (although i love the latter too). i just think the songs and the words are better on it. if you ever get a chance - buy it. it's one of the most beautiful records ever made. my ex girlfriend used to describe it as nick drake in dub. that's not quite right but might give a vague idea of what it's like.
and jens, the 24-24 album has been widely bootleged - hope you got an original.

I put together what I think is a great compilation of his dance stuff. I got too tired of waiting for the Nuphonic box so I went on Audiogalaxy for days and days till I found all I could. I'll trade for a copy of Dinosaur's "24-24" music album (a CD-r of it) if anyone has it.

Did it get bootlegged in th early days too becayuse this record is an old one. When you come to sweden again you can take a look. I bought it form an italian guy who only had records older than 1982...

the bootleg has a gloss finish (from what i can recall) while the original was matt.
some guy on ebay is constantly selling the 'in the light of a miracle (walter gibbons mixes)' 12" that talking loud promoed but never released. i'm guessing that he pressed up a couple of hundred himself.
as far as i know, there aren't any other russell bootlegs bar 'go bang' being available on various 'loft classic' type eps originating from nyc.
