"All Night Long" is forever marred for me by teasing a soaring bridge that ultimately doesn't happen. Just three bars of "oh sheet this is about to get next level" before "nope, just back to the chorus again"

Seeing him in the recent "We Are the World" documentary was interesting. I can go for years without thinking about him. Then I remember how ubiquitous he was.

For some people of my age, class, and temperament, Lionel will always be drama-teaching clay Lionel as rendered by the Braille-reading young woman in the "Hello" video but there are more Lionels than that.

At one point he was upside down.
