Let's face it, there are two major anthemic indie jams where someone lists a bunch of people and one of these ppl is yelled in a v anthemic and climactic manner and also they mention The Slits, and they are "Losing My Edge" by LCD Soundsystem and "Hot Topic" by Le Tigre. Are you #TeamJames or #TeamKathleen? idgaf which named person you like more or which band you like more or even which song you like more, just vote for which ~moment~ gives you more tingles, okay?

I thought Schrag's Adam was mediocre but basically inoffensive when I read it, but the premise seems stupider the more I think about it for some of the reasons that Tom Leger's pointed out (http://leger.tumblr.com/post/97990510907/on-truth-pizza-and-adam-by-ariel-schrag), and I'd be ambivalent about most of Hanna's work after Bikini Kill even if she hadn't played Michfest twice (about which Imogen Binnie's written here: http://www.keepyourbridgesburning.com/2013/09/we-see-through-you-18/), and "Losing My Edge" is a jam, so "Gil! Scott! Heron!" gets my vote, even if Scott-Heron's "The Subject Was Faggots" will never not make me grit my teeth.
