ILM's 2014 End of Year Albums & Tracks Poll / NOMINATIONS THREAD

We're sticking with the max of 30 nominations since that worked out well the previous two years. You can split that down with middle with 15 albums and 15 tracks, or you can break down that number in any way that satisfies you (all albums, all tracks, or any split that adds up to 30). Things to keep in mind when you nominate, especially if you don't do it all at once:

Label your ALBUMS and your TRACKS lists. J0rdan, seandalai and I hear a whole bunch of music, but we're not familiar with everything. This helps out a great deal.

Format your nominations in this order:
Artist - Album
Artist - Track
(NEVER Album - Artist or Track - Artist... not only is this an archivist's nightmare, but it's also harder on us when trying to make a proper nominations list.)

So, now nominations are open! They will close at 7pm EST on Sunday, January 4th 2015 (that's midnight for the Britishes and 4pm for our friends on the left coast of the US).

Please ctrl+f the thread or check the spreadsheets linked below before submitting your nominations. We may not catch all the doubles that pop up, but we try.

Beyonce ft. Jay Z - "Drunk in Love" (made our list last year; will probably make P&J's this year, where I'll likely vote for it)
Klingande - "Jubel" (didn't make out list last year, but had some noms; was covered by the Singles Jukebox this year--albeit, in January)

If it placed last year, it's a no go this year. If it didn't, but was released in any region for the first time in 2014, you can vote for it. "Jubel" is a great track, and I'm not going to discourage you from nominating it, but any juice it had this time last year has kind of dissipated.

None of this was ruled out in your opening instructions, or I would have followed them. The Platinum Edition was issued this year, btw. If we can't list an album because some of its bonus tracks have been chosen as tracks, again, that's something I would have obeyed if specified.

All the other things have been added to the lists. The newer edition of the Beyonce album was something I disqualified (even though reissues with new/previously unreleased material are often accepted) because of its placement in last year's results in its original iteration.

Actually, now that I look at it, it appears only 7/11 and the Flawless remix were nominated from the platinum edition, but I stand by its exclusion. :D

Just noticed that the wrong Guru track has been included in the Spotify Tracks playlist, "Akayida (Boys Abre)" instead of "Boys Abre", that is track 6 instead of track 4 of his album "Boys Abre". Unfortunately, his killer track "More Vim (Boys Abre)" didn't make the album. His best track, the Boys Abre-free "Pooley" is in the YouTube playlist though, so all is not lost!
(DJ Xclusive's "Ibebe" seems to be missing from either list by the way, it should be on Spotify, alongside his other nominated track "Jeje").

yeah! i checked it out after you posted it on that other thread and i really dug it, first thing i've heard of get physical in a long time. i also like the mark rogers - mary byrne, i don't listen to a lot of folk music but the way she enunciates reminds me of judee sill? i think?

i'm glad someone else heard the rotla EP, it's awesome. gaussian curve is probably the one i most wish i had nominated, but i don't think many people have heard it yet.

Two i think of as glaring omissions from the tracks list are Roman Flugel 'Wilkie' and Andre Bratten 'Trommer og bass' but that's my own fault for not nomming anything.

i'm pretty surprised no one nominated anything by pender street steppers, i guess they didn't catch on with the bobbins crew like i'd imagined, or maybe bobbins isn't participating much this year

yeah, wilkie is great, the album was nominated tho and i'm happy to treat it as a whole
