Now all that chat and preamble is out of the way, let's look at some numbers!

Non-self-explanatory stats:
Enthusiasm: Average points per ballot, divided by the max it could have (50).
Popularity: The Spotify Popularity score for the track, if it's on Spotify.
Hotttnesss: This is an EchoNest thing. Not really sure what it means.

Aggregated Artist Results

Some basic stats combining all tracks by a single artist (not counting featured artists, sorry Young Thug). If a voter voted for more than one track by an artist, only the top track is counted (sorry taytayfan).

Genre Top 10s

For every genre in Glenn's big map of the universe that had at least 10 tracks with at least one vote, I compiled a top 10 list. Not all the genre assignments make sense, but hey.

Voter Statistics

All your old favourites, some new ones too:
Hivemind score: this is the average points total for the tracks on your ballot; how your ballot was ordered doesn't change the score.
Fuxxor Quotient: the proportion of tracks on your ballot that were in Pitchfork's top 100.
Antifuxxor Ratio: Hivemind divided by Fuxxor Quotient. A high ratio means your taste is much closer to that of ILM than to that of Pitchfork. A score of infinity means you're awesome.

I was delighted that it won. It was very surprising as well, considering that it was released around the time of the previous years poll and never became a massive inescapable hit, I figured therefore that it would of faded from a lot of people's memory when compiling their ballot.

Lex it was great to see someone else voting for Cam & China and Tamar Braxton. Although I was expecting 'Gettin to It' to have at least 2 votes.

Very pleased to see Rob voting for 'Restraining Order'. That's a great number one as well.

At first I felt bad for not submitting a ballot. I felt better when I saw it wouldn't have made any difference as none of my tracks would have made the 77. But then I saw all the cool stats and features and went back to feeling bad because I'll never know which publication I'm most likely to read.

I occasionally spend evenings watching amazing Kavkaz wedding dance videos on YouTube and this was the soundtrack to one of the best compilations. I've tracked down a few more of her songs and they're all excellent - a similar combination of pop hooks and intricate folk instrumentation. just finally got around to reading this thread, but I voted for it (well, before I lost my password and had to get a new account!) I think maybe you posted it on the rolling albums + tracks thread? I don't recall exactly where I found it, but it was a great recommendation, love the oy-oy's (not sure if they are actually saying something at that point, or just vocalizing? I sure don't speak finnish).
