probably the most conceptually sound Snoop album since he was on No Limit

yeah the whole thing feels really cohesive and organic...like i dunno, i feel like this is somehow him and pharrell synthesizing some of his recent experiments like "sensual seduction" and the snoop lion thing into something that feels really polished & realized

well, all rap albums should be helmed by one producer

I really like this album. surprisingly !
I would never have expected to enjoy a snoop album at this point in his career (it seems all he's done over the last 10y was smoking pot on his tv show and producing p0rn videos !).
the first 4 tracks are very good (I haven't listened to the rest enough to tell yet).
very nice summer vibe indeed !

This is good but I dunno, it feels way more like a Pharrell album than a Snoop album. Whatever you expect from Snoop, even when he's crap, it isn't that his personality will just blend seamlessly into the rest of the track. The best tracks, especially Peaches & Cream, are when he's more upfront-and-centre.

i never really cared for "Let's Get Blown," didn't think an album that sounds like 10 variations on "Let's Get Blown" could be so enjoyable

I like it but wish some tracks had more oomph. I realize that this and his debut are going for different vibes, but I could point out select tracks on Doggystyle that're both laid-back and hit hard, just for example.

Vaguely interesting that Chad Hugo helped out on six tracks here, even if it's just "additional production"

I mean Snoop's a whole different person from then.... I think this is a nice way of using his persona now

I'm talking more the beats. Something like "So Many Pros" is good-not-great in a pleasant-to-listen-to way I think. "Edibles" and "I'm Ya Dogg" are the only two I flat dislike

Even considered more as a pharrell album it's surprisingly good (I couldn't bother listening to his latest solo album...).

Pharrell's last album is dope. "Gush" being the best track
