it's so cool. i've never actually heard the 3 albums they did after the debut and now i'm thinking i should check them out. if nu-metal had ended up sounding like this album i would have been a big nu-metal fan. killing joke metal is kinda always a good idea. i was a big fan of the stuff that waldemar sorychta produced in the 90's. he was kinda the anti-ross robinson. i certainly still listen to my moonspell and tiamet and gathering CDs. they haven't lost a step! you can also turn this CD up really loud and it doesn't turn into a hideous squall of distortion. which is a bonus in this day and age. plus, i like gus chambers' voice a lot on the first Grip Inc. he didn't really have any baggage. he wasn't a "famous" u.k. punk singer. he was in a punk band with terry hall before terry hall was in the specials. which just makes him cooler as far as i'm concerned. also: r.i.p. gus chambers.
i don't know who the hell the bass player is on this album. i also like this album a lot more than divine intervention or diabolus in musica or god hates us all.
