Song I.D.: "This is Funky Reggae Music" - Chant-y disco-y pop number of unknown time and place

Forgive me pulling this from a vaguer Song I.D. thread, but I'm slightly desperate and I want to get it noticed!

Does anyone know the name of this song - very disco-y (maybe even Italo?) where the chorus is something like "This is funky reggae music" over and over, and later in the song the singer(s) say something like "feel the african sound" and "feel the jazz sound" or something like that. It was playing distantly in the background of a room I was in.

The main thing I noted was that it *wasn't* actually funky reggae music.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Immediately thought of brotherlovesdub suggestion. Also the dub version is brilliant:

It isn't any of these but they're all great - that Steel An' Skin comes the closest; it was very upbeat.
Great playlist either way! Thanks for your suggestions

YRML - don't think it's on this thread, but it's a decent treasure trove of this kind of music examples of DISCO-REGGAE

Thanks again - I ended up emailing the place I heard the record playing and said "I imagine this is a huge long shot..." - and amazingly they came back to me. And it's this...

(It's "DANCE TO funky reggae music," first of all, and then it's "you can hear the African feeling," and it's really NOT Italo-y!)

Ah, that's a fairly recent reissue. Just saw it on the wall at Dusty Groove. Should have picked it up.

So I made a small spotify playlist (set to private... although I think you can share it even if it's private?) Inspired by this reggae-disco thing. Some of my favorite are unfortunately not available in there (clout's sunshine baby and steel an skin come to mind) but there's some songs you might enjoy, several which I didn't see mentioned on the disco reggae thread, in case you want to take a listen for your own sets/playlists:

Just sold an original copy of that record for many $$$. And it sure is good! Guess since Tom Tom Club predates this they influenced it, maybe? Got that feel from it anyway.
