it is still a surprisingly singular record, isn't it? especially the bleak downtempo tracks. most obvious producer to me who has mined a parallel vein is actress. royal crown of sweden is right on. maybe the first couple kassem mosse workshop eps? terrence dixon? the detroit house thread on here is worth checking out.

i thought the auscultation album from last year gave off some similar vibes and was overlooked:
