Rolling Instrumental Hip-Hop Thread

I still like/listen to hip hop. But if I'm honest, due to age, maturity, a shift in ethics/morals/values, working life, or just a dislike of many hip hop lyrics/values/ideologies (or just not being 18 anymore), I actually prefer just listening to BEATS. in the late 90s i would have dismissed myself as someone who cant handle The Realness/corny/a dj vadim fan, but these days, who has time for all of that?

so, beat tapes/instrumental albums i really liked so far this year -

linafornia - yung (shes a beat scene producer, but no real electronic influences, its just straight down the line beats in that dilla-madlib mould, but theres something really sharp, and 'purposeful' about her stuff)

lone - lemurian (a reissue from last year of an album from 2008 i think, but i discovered it late - its like dilla and BOC, but not as corny as that might make you think; i heard snippets of his latest album, which is fine, but mostly seemed to be in that special request rave nostalgia sort of vein)

Oddisee - The Odd Tape is probably in my top 10 this year

I guess this is chance to big up Koti6, a local duo who've been making really dope, (mostly) instrumental hip-hop in the last few years (though they're both veterans of the Helsinki rap scene, with other projects dating back as far as the early 90s):

one year passes...

Decided on a whim today to revisit the one instrumental hip-hop album I ever owned, Mix Master Mike's Anti-Theft Device, which I bought as a childhood Beastie Boys fan back in 1998 or '99. I lost the CD a long time ago, but the album's on Youtube and it's great.
