Akiko Yano recommended (for the YMO fans).
I think this is pretty good and people should check it out.

Sometimes disjunctive, partly acoustic. Fits together for me.

The occasional hootin' and hollerin' can be annoying, but it's a fairly minor part of the album.
Apologies if people are already sick of me mentioning this on other threads.

Very nice - I can definitely see what attracted Akiko Yano to this. She has definitely been doing some sort of mutant jazz her whole life, though the track posted is a lot further out there than anything I've heard from her. Is the whole album like this??

The album varies. There are definitely other tracks that are somewhat similar. Some of the tracks have more of a regular beat. I'm not sure they really work as well as the floatier ones, but it does make for some variety.
