can't we just stick both of 'em in a box, and send it to North Korea?
"mister jones" = one of the absolute worst nineties songs ever.

Anthony Miccio--NE Colorado, like Greeley? Sterling? In Denver, whole neighborhoods are taken over by crows, no other birds, maybe the occasional magpie.
Was there not an early Neil Young band called the Magpies? Or was it the Mynah Birds?
So, my vote goes to Counting Cs.

I shudder to contemplate how gawdawful that must be. For this crime alone, they should be violently slain in a ritualistic bloodbath to rival the goriest passage of Terry Gilliam's vangloriously bloody "Jabberwocky."
The answer to the thread? YES! Counting Crows are a bajillion times worse than the DMB. DMB -- as we have somewhat laboriously pointed out -- at least have some chops to their music. Counting Crows have absolutely *DICK* to their credit.

Don't ask me who "Henry" is.
And as for why they're such a frustrating band, I think it's this: they made one very good album, one half good album, and then a whole lot of crap ones. It all started when they fired the short guy... he play maracas or something, I don't remember. But every album after they got rid of him was utter crap. Who knew the short guy was the key to everything good about the band?
