pretty much accurate, though the Prefects show up because I was working on the CD and comparing versions of songs constantly. Seems weighted towards the early days of iTunes usage, when those were among the only things. Now that I have 15,000 songs I don't remember listening to the second Colin Blunstone album so much. I guess I did at some point. I guess this shows that despite the incredibly large and eclectic collection of music I listen to, I often return to the same faves.

David Katz, do you mean Debussy's string quartet? Gosh, that's tough. The Emerson SQ recording is very beautifully performed and recorded, so that's one you should definitely seek. The Alban Berg SQ performance is also def. worth listening to because it gives it another angle -- it leans more toward the virtuosic but it's a very bold and forceful performance. Other options you can't really go wrong with: Quartetto Italianno SQ, the Orlando SQ, the Keller Quartet.

I know! I kinda want to put mine together as a mix CD for someone. I probably wouldn't have ever consciously come up with that particular mix, but I think it'd work well.

The song I've played the beginning of the most times is A-Ha's The Sun Always Shines on TV because EVERY FUCKING TIME I place my iPod in my stereo/dock without first selecting a tune it plays the first tune alphabetically. I now hate the opening notes of that song so much.

Yeah, a-ha's "The Swing of Things" starts playing sometimes when I first turn my iPod on. Used to be !!! before an iPod software update pushed all numbers and non-alphabetical characters to the bottom.
