No thread abou this or him. i really found most of it all rather tedious but there was one track on this album (ten years old now!) that was really creepy. the one where a girl is pleading with some guy to carry on going out with her and she's clearly not interested.

i dunno where i stand morally on the whole idea, but a good 'track' all the same.

brrrrr.

my hidden shame is that I kind of liked that scanner / dj spooky thing.

Haven't heard the Spore thing but his collaboration with Jean-Paul Dessy on 'whaling wolves' is awesome.

Man, Rimbaud really flies under the radar here, it seems!

i have scanner 1 buried deep in the archive.
no music, just recordings of some very strange phone calls that he picked up using his scanner.
not sure i have ever listened to it all the way through.

one year passes...

Selling his album Trawl again, this time all proceeds go to John Everall (a.k.a. Tactile + Sentrax label boss) who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

He's talking about The Caretaker? If that's true, what an asshole.

Yes, apparently so. Appalling behaviour indeed.

repeatedly harassing a stranger via email is never acceptable but I feel there are a lot of issues re: acceptance in the arts and class that this brings to mind
