Their videos and music symbolized the whole newtechno-obsessed era coming in, but they fusedguitars and synths quite nicely.

Asw I recall, the NME went for the Japanese new wave/pop in quite a big way, but then came Anneka's "Japanese Boy", which killed it stone dead.
